Default underdrive pulley and turbo

Got my drain welded in the timing cover and i already had a powerbond underdrive pulley so the fitting cleared perfectly. Now the issue is, I was recently told by "someone" who worked at ATI that underdrive pulleys are no good with boost. Now first thing I thought was, eh sounds like BS, BUT I rather spend a couple of minutes researching this before I discard it. Unfortunately, didn't come up with anything. Anyone here have any experience with this?

Thanks

I would have to say that taking advice from a specific company that says "Oh, all of the other competing products are bad" is generally a pretty biased opinion. lol. So good idea on researching. I too am making 931whp on a cheap 25% ASP underdrive pulley. Should be fine.

Since the setup is going to be turbo charged I see no issue with running the underdrive pulley you have.

Did you ask "Why"? This was we could at least be entertained by their BS!

Wow glad to hear these answers. I was told because you have less mass to dampen the cranks vibrations due to the extra power I might break my timing chain, oil pump, or even snap the crank. Did further research and found that my pb underwrite pulley is heavier than stock so I feel a little better now.

Hahaha, I have never even heard of someone snapping the crank, besides supercharged cars. That is a good laugh.
