Looks like some kind of 180 degree equal tuned length craziness. Someone got fancy with their bender and Ti-81 calculator....

If it is an 8 into one it's supposed to help fill out the mid range better than a conventional exhaust. A guy on piston head did this on his LS engined ultima GTR and recorded good results (will find a link).

Also supposed to change the sound quite a bit. Gives it a mix between cross plan and flat crank sound.

Also as the pulses are effecting going around in a ciurcle in the collector they are supposedly less sensitive to runner length.

He tried a shorter manifold setup and then a huge long manifold like that ?

Props to him for doing it. Just based on the work, you can assume that the dude is smart enough to know that the amount power gained will never justify the amount of work to do this. So you really can't bag on the dude. He had the means to try something different and thats what this hobby is all about.

As a fabrication exercise, no doubt it is impressive. And visually it's equally impressive. Would love to see some better pics of the collector itself.

But it is just insane ! lol
