Default S400 HELP oil problem

Hey guys I have a 04 Silverado SS. Forged 402 with an s400-78. Im getting oil in the charge line so much that its leaking out of the waste gate. I don't believe I'm getting any blow by because it would just be burning out the exhaust (not dripping out the gate. It doesn't smoke on start up so I believe you can rule out valve seals. Ive commented an hour each way for several days without getting into the boost at all and I'm still having the same problem. My old conclusion is the turbo is mounted on a 30 degree angle and maybe that is causing oil to leak past the turbo seal into the charge side. Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. oil has sufficient evacuation ad I have a pump on it.

Thanks in advance

Contact your turbo supplier about the angle. IIRC the Borg's should be flat, at least box ones.

30 deg is way to much for anything besides and oil-less BB CHRA.

Some pics would be helpful, as your description is terrible.

You say you have oil in the "charge line" whatever that is....so much that oil is leaking from the wastegate ?

What in your mind is this charge line ?

Then you say oil has sufficient evacuation....I think you're trying to say the oil drain is adequate ? But then you also say you have a pump on it ?

The pump contradicts the first comment. And if the drain needs a scavenge pump...what pump are you using, how is it all plumbed ?

A detailed schematic would be helpful.

Charge line is the cold side of the turbo to the intake.
Scavenge pump is the reason for an "adequate oil return"
scavenge pump is mounted 12" after the turbo pushing the oil back to the oil pan.
There is enough oil leaking out of the waste gate to cause quite a bit of smoking. Enough for me to be concerned about an oil fire.

I could ague semantics for the terrible description. lol

Truck is not currently with me for pics.

SO you're saying there is oil passing on both compressor and turbine side ? All the time, when running, after shutdown etc etc ?

You say scavenge pump, but dont state what you're actually using...they are not all the same.
What size lines etc ? Have you confirmed good oil flow from this pump ?

How much oil supply to the turbo ?

Is it mounted correctly ? ie oil top and out bottom ?

And oil out the w/g isnt the problem, oil coming from the turbo then out via the w/g is.

And semantics or whatever, when trying to diagnose remotely, details...and correct details are everything.

I spoke with forced inductions today. They told me the turbo needs to be level. They believe thats the problem. I would have giving you the pump info but the truck is currently not with me. The turbo has a -4 supply. Yes the oil exit on the turbo is pointing down. Thanks for checking back in.

Again, pictures, a schematic etc would help loads here.

And of course all turbos need to be fairly level and oil in top and out the bottom.
