Do longer or shorter runners require a higher rpm range? I always get confused

Short runners will usually see the engine perform better at high rpm's

Just got it out today. Had the boost controller set at 18psi. Hit 18psi very fast. Car broke the tires loose at 120. I run 325/50/15 tires. Haven't had it dyno tuned but it's very fast and very responsive.

I'm running twin air to water intercoolers. Have yet to fab the water box so as of right now, it's not intercooled. No idea what my IATs are. Car has been sitting for about 2 hours. Stainless headers are cool. Intake manifold is very warm but not hot. It will definitely pick up heat from the motor.

Are these the regular version intakes that are fitting under the stock cowl or the new short runner ones?

It is the short ones that fit under the cowl of the f-bodies and corvette's. The regular one is almost the same height as the Holly hi-ram.

Info on them on Symbol Performance website: http://symbolperformancellc.com/prod...ntake-manifold

Well I bought the intake through tick performance and it came with the fuel rails. It says holley sniper on the intake. It cost less than the one on that website site but it looks pretty much the same. I'm very happy with my purchase. It looks damn good, makes a ton of power, seems well built. I'll tell you this, I would trust this intake over a plastic GM intake. So far I've ran 20lbs through it and all is good. Before I bought the intake I read lots of reviews and people saying the metal will distort and balloon. Well that's a bunch of Bullshit. Here is a picture of it today.

And here's a little video.

I recommend giving Eli over at Tick Performance a call. He gave me a great deal and he's a great guy to work with.

It would be rather difficult to see any distortion taking place on a photo lol

And the OEM intakes are very well proven.

Even a thin metal intake will indeed last for a long time before it fails, as it would take a lot of cycles and pressure for the metal to fatigue.

But it is clear most people buy intakes for looks for their car rather than performance. They'll all make lots of power with ease anyway, so never worry about it.

Although I'd have preferred black myself. They are still a cool looking item.

I ran 20psi through it. Intake held up fine. Unfortunately the tune wasn't good.

Block is at the machine shop getting decked. Balancing the stroker crank, heads are fucked so LSA heads are on the way. Should have it back together beginning of March.
