4" Downpipe questions??
4" Downpipe questions?? I have a huron speed v2 t4 ac kit and was wondering is anyone could recommend a 4" downpipe that would run through the k member? I am wanting to retain an exhaust and not run through the bumper. The downpipe that comes with the kit is a 3" and I will be running a s480 which needs a 4". Any help would be great.

You will likely have to ovalize the pipe through the K member, I don't think it is possible to get through it without doing that. We have the same kit on one of our cars here at the shop and went down and back with the down pipe and did a bit of a slant cut on the bottom to exit under the car, Really not too loud either.

Jrpimp I am running a BMR turbo k also. Did you retain ac? And did you exit the drivers side on back?
Thompson would you happen to have pictures of the downpipe? I am trying to figure out which route I want to go.

I made two of these motor mounts retaining the stock K. One 4" U bend piece from summit was all the piping I needed to make it out past my Huron 3" DP
With your K member you should have it much easier. Just take your time and you'll feel very accomplished when you're done, especially when you have a nice quiet car with that 4" stove pipe that flows like a mother.
I'll try and post photos of my piping when I get home in a few days.
I got rid of the AC well before hand. I have the V1 kit and welded on an adapter to run a T6. Exhaust goes through where the ac was, snakes around the outside of the motor mount pedal stool and then comes out at the starter then about 2ft of 4" tubing to my cutout then ran to the back through a 3" magnaflow.

I'm not sure on the T4 v2.0, but I have the T6 setup. I cut and turned the 4" down with a boost actuated cutout. Then I tied a 3" pipe into it and ran it back to my magnaflow exhaust.

That k-member allows for up to a 5" DP. Here are some pictures i have to give you ideas. I don't know of a readily available pre-fab option so you will likely have to build one, or have a local shop fab it. But this should give you some ideas

I have the same kit as you (getting tuned end of month) and I was in the same boat. Wound up just sticking with 3inch and am going to just cutout dump it. I have no idea how people fit 4inch there lol
Bear in mind, the ones I posted have a manual rack, the stock rack will offer slightly less clearance in that area, but not a huge difference. Still plenty of room to work with.
