Default Fuel Questions

Hey guys it is getting to that point in my build to put together a fuel system for the car. Background on the car as it sits is a lq4 408 at 9.1 compression ls3 heads and fast 102 intake. Car has lsa 60# injectors currently everything else fuel wise is stock. Car made 440hp/440tq on the chassis dyno thru a t56 and 10 bolt with 4.11 gears.

Now I am putting on a huron v2 t4 kit with a BW s480 and the goal is to be around 650-700 to the ground. The car will be mainly a street car will weekend trips to the track. I have researched a fair amount on here but seems the fuel set up is something people skim over. I was leaning towards a drop in pump since I am budget minded. What would you all suggest? Also should I be running a return system or can a factory returnless system support that power reliably? What do you all think factory lsa 60# injectorys would be good to?

Any help is appreciated thanks guys!

I have your solution for ya. Buy these budget minded parts, and you will be good to go:
- Single Walbro 450 in tank pump $105
- Siemens 80# injectors (Probably less than $100 after selling the LSA injectors)
- Magnafuel Boost referenced fuel pressure regulator (Around $200)

Boom. Less than $500 and you will have a pretty solid fuel system that can still utilize the factory feed and return lines. If you would like to upgrade to an 8AN steel braided feed line, by all means, go for it.

Thats the receipt right there. I made close to 800 on gas/meth with almost that exact setup (aeromtive regulator)

Exactly what Im running except using an Aeromotive regulator. Car made a lil over 700 on 14lbs on e85 using a stock feed & evap for return, no problems.

most cars which run the siemens 80lb injectors on ls3/7 intake manifolds get boost leaks at the injectors. if you search around you'll find lots of examples. mine did also. the solution was the Katech oversized injector o rings for $12 for me.

Do you know if the new style and old style truck intakes use the same O-ring? I've been having constantly problems after switching to a TBSS intake and 90mm throttle body.

I did the swap, raised fuel pressure by 10 PSI and scaled my VE table accordingly. Now I constantly have issues above 16 PSI where the car sounds like its cutting out and losing power. Never had a single issue up to 28 PSI on the old setup.

I also added a brake booster which sounds like its hissing with boost.

That set up, turbo and motor wise, is a little over kill for 600 rwhp. If so youv are looking for is 600 to 700 look into the S476. I made over 800 with it and spool was instantaneous. I just switched over to the S480 for more power and can definitely tell a difference in spool time.

Did you put a check valve inline for the booster

I am looking for 700 wheel. Reasons for the s480 is one room for growth and two trying to help with backpressure as best I can.

I had this same issue with my Proflo-XT manifold. And I had the same solution as well. Katech oversized O-rings on the manifold side of the injector only. Now no more issues. I also used petroleum jelly on both sides of the injector just to be safe.
