Default After spending the day cruising.....

So, as the title states..I spent the day cruising. And as I was headed home, a really good feeling came over me. Reason is, during me rebuilding my motor and reinstalling everything....on more than one occasion I remember throwing things across my garage out of rage. Why? Because it was oven like temps.....transmission install was KILLING me, along with just being tired. But i can proudly say, after running the car a couple of times at the track since the rebuild....and after a little "spirited" driving today, it was worth every second!

I hear that. Never mind all the trips to autozone, and harbor freight for little odds and ends. But man, it sure is worthwhile when you are standing in it!

Good to hear others think these stupid turbo builds are love/hate. I can't count how many times I said to myself "I'm going to sell this thing as soon as it runs" then when it runs I say "I can't sell it because I'll have to start over from scratch when I build the next one". Glad to hear your hard work is paying off.

Man, I hear ya-i turned 70 in July, and cant tell you how many builds I have done where I invented new words, locked the garage doors and walked away
and thought about taking up golf or something-pulling bodies off frames, welding to replace rusted panels, rebuilding trans just to have them not work, a couple fires in the garage, you name it.
Like I am going to do today, jump in my 65 Buick, 6.0/turbo, go for a nice ride, hit my fav. stretch of road, feel the power, nothing like it.
But I do have this short bed step side C10 in the garage, and I am thinking why do I want to do this again, lol

I have found if you talk very nicely to the parts you are working on that they just seem to work with you...not lol I have yelled obscenities that have woke neighbors up haha...but that first couple drives are always worth it

Makes it worse when you have guys like denmah doing complete ground up builds in 3 days, but a simple motor job took me about two weeks lol.

The problem is you start looking at everything you own trying to figure out how to add a turbo. Once you've gone to the dark side there is no return.
