Default opinions on a PT88? Good, bad, or ugly?

Planning on replacing the cx racing gt45r turbo in my cts V for a pt88 from precision. I've been noticing some bad reviews. Are these isolated incidents, or the general opinion? Any input will is greatly appreciated. I have some size constraints, but have considered going with a billet wheel s480 with a t4 housing and 92mm turbine wheel. I think that may fit in my current location. Any thoughts/recommendations?

Our shop has two PT88 cars. Both of us make 840whp on 5.3's at 21 psi. He has had his for a year and mine has been for 2 years. Never had an issue with the turbo as long as you get the proper drain/feed lines and a good breather system.

Thanks for the input. By breather system, do you mean pvc to let off crankcase pressure or airfilter?

I feel you're going to see more issues on a forum or spoken about because the 99% that don't have issues don't bother to post. I have a PT88, made 900+ at 18psi through a 400 and 9". I usually run 20psi on the street too. I am very happy with it.

I had great luck with a pt88. make sure and run at least a -4 pressure line. i ran a -3 and hurt it. precision freshened it up for a very reasonable price and i ran it for a long time with a -4 supply line without any issues

Thats what I thought. I assume that excessive crankcase pressure could disrupt the turbo drain. What do you use? would a large betaher ion both valve covers like I have on the one be enouh?

I kind of figured this. People only report bad news that's why I asked. I mean most of the big pro mod guys run Precision Turbos.
Thank you for the reply.
BTW what size engine on that set up w/ the pt88?

I have a LQ4 Iron 6.0 with mine. LS3 top end, plenty of oomph for me.
