2000 SS:
6 pound kit from vortech
full length headers
off road y-pipe
flomasters cat back
slp cool lower ram air
If it were me:
-Get that custom Vortech airbox that Brian Brannen is making ($150)
-Change your muffler, I would get one that is straight-thru with perforated baffles on each side, can you afford stainless? ($70 or 150). I would get something like the ATR Pitbull, Borla XR1, Dynatech Splitflow, Dynomax Ultraflow welded (not bullet)
-Keep stock MAF
-Might suggest get a stock ported TB
-Aftercooler from Vortech
-Colder t-stat

Depends on your knowledge level, but to up the boost you either need an intercooler or a good alky system or run around on 112+ race gas. Otherwise you WILL break some pistons or do damage.
A good flowing exhaust is a must. Forget about MAF'S and TB'S until you up the boost. Right now they won't do much.
A 2.85" pulley and 49.5" belt combo along with a good alky system is the cheapest way to go.The alky system will cool down the charge pretty good with a 2.85" and also give you the extra fuel you will need. I Ran that combo for a long time.
It'll give you 9-10 psi depending on weather with stock heads/cam and REALLY wakes up the motor. Going from a 3.7" pulley like what you have now, to a 2.85" will make you think you never even had a blower on it before.
All the kits use the same 8" crank pulley.
My system began life as the non intercooled kit 3 years ago.

Aftercooler kit ASSEMBLY from vortech (i have the part no's if you need them)and pulley down that's an easy 50-70 hp there. get rid of those crapmasters i mean flowmaster and get a better flowing muffler like a magnaflow.
where is your graph, what kind of timing and air fuel are you running. it is not suggested to go above 9 lbs on the stock bottom end, you're pushing it there.
if you haven't already get a good flowing air filter like a holley.
get a tune change the plugs to ngk 6's that could work marvels on your car.
a mild cam (you don't need big) will give you 20-40hp. mid 500's on lift, 220/224 split with 114/115 lsa.
believe it or not the 02-03 ls6 cam makes a good blower cam. i recommend getting the best valve springs money can afford and upgrade to hardened pushrods.
that should be plenty of powa to hold you over for now.

try parts@sdpc.com for a quote on the 02 or newer LS6 cam.
I got my ported TB from Bauer but Jantzer is good too.
