no sign of anything on the bore of any cylinder ? It could have still broke a ring land just not the top of the piston.... when I went through my issue I read on a few threads that guys broke ringlands and couldn't tell until the took the piston out.... not my case though lol

Gen 3 rods..... like i said i know gen 3 rods cant handle that and had no intentions of pushing it that much. boost gauge went right up into the mid 20's . I had Holley on learn map and and I confirm it learned to 222kpi , but wasnt data logging ,when the boost spiked I got out of it immediately might not been long enough for learn to pick up on it.
Any way motor is ready to come out now , I'll have it at machine shop Monday for new rods and pistons.

And you guys can see what I'm dealing with....trans has to come out with engine....i can't even get driveshaft out with out dropping exhaust or pulling trans 1st. Protour look is cool but its not parts change friendly.

Funny u posted that pic builder I talked to said put compstar rods and weisco/je pistons in and be done.
I'm also gonna swap out bell housing to a sfi blow shield unit while I got it apart ....maybe a twin disc clutch.
I gotta be honest I really liked to big power it put down and hate taking stuff apart multiple times.
