It's a MkIV. I made up a crank hub that matches what the LS crank ring presses onto. I used a Vortec cam sensor.

Quick question out to the Fitech guru's, is this the type of relay you should use when hooking up a single 16" electric fan to the 70050 controller.

I'm still learning the LS platform from old school SBC so have mercy! Help & guidance is appreciated.

Yes, that relay kit will work nicely for you. You'd use the fan 1 trigger wire to ground the relay coil. The other side of the coil gets constant or ignition on power.

Thanks Paul,,,,,,, or is that Mister Moderator. I guess the fan 2 wire on the harness just gets capped since I'm only using a single fan.

I know the instructions seem confusing, just wire it up like it says...you should be fine!

I left fan 2 Un hooked as well, I'm gonna run a toggle switch for my second fan which will be placed behind the auxiliary transmission cooler stacked on the radiator. ....it's only an 8" fan ,and the main fan is 14" haven't had any issues with it yet.....knock on wood!

I thought same thing so I called them and they said its a clone. I asked again if it was a Dorman and the tech guy said no. Who knows.

All are welcome sorry if I came across any other way. Was just hoping to keep it boosted info/questions/posts instead of the general stuff the other fitech fb pages cover plenty. The ultimate ls page doesn't pin important stuff we all need like how to download the procal off the handheld then setup datalogging etc.. I'll be pinning that kind of info on this boost fitech page.

Anyone having issues with laptop staying connected to ecu while car is running? I can open the procal connected to the hand held in k mode and get the dash gauges to work. I'll start the engine and the gauges may work for a few seconds and laptop pops up a message to retry, when this pops up the gauges stop working as if it lost communication, I can hit retry and the gauges start working again until this same message pops back up again. Would like to find the fix for this issue.

"Recieving time out" is the message that pops up on the screen of laptop, the dash gauges freeze, your choices are retry or cancel I hit retry and the gauges work again for 30 seconds or so and right back to retry or cancel. The tach never drops to zero before this happens, car continues to run. Ideas? Ran independent hot for key on to battery and a 1/0 welding cable for ground to battery.
