Pinning the hood down.....anyone have pictures of this...?
I'm thinking of pinning my hood down and getting rid of the entire latch assembly and latch assembly frame bars. More room for turbo kit, where the condenser needs to be repositioned.
Anyone know of a kit that someone sells.
Or have pictures of under the hood how this is done and where the pins have to be mounted?
Need a locking type.......
Thanks.

So does anyone have pictures of how/where they mounted the pins in the engine bay?
I've seen hood pins that lock that are about the size of a quarter.....they are chrome or black. They also take a key like the type of key that opens a vending machine. Very small and it has a lock. But I can't find it anywhere......
Aerocatch is cool.....but a little large to the eye.

Beware of Aerocatch, they look nice but they're not the most reliable. Obviously tons of people use them without problem, but a lot of people have them fail as well. Pretty sure they were not counterfeit as they were bought through a very large auto parts company, but you never know these days.
I think the others you're talking about are Quik Latch http://www.quik-latch.com/

They also do not lock with a key.
Thats not really a big problem for me I guess because I have a hood lock that I installed in 1998 that keeps the hood from opening. I could install these locks and then just always make sure I lock my hood.

These look really good but they might be too small (diameter) for a fiberglass hood. I only want to use 2 pins. One on each side towards the front.
They also do not lock with a key.

They have many sizes, and locking ones also. I've had the ones you posted. They work but can be a PITA to use. I put up with them because the hood i got had holes in it and they looked cleaner than the kind like he had before but I later traded that CF hood for a stock one just to get rid of them lol
