Default Need help on turbo flange...

I have a BW S475 T6 1.10AR that has the divided scroll going on a LQ9 6.0...I am building a 2 1/4" cross over pipe and will use 1 gate.

I know its been talked about a ton of times, but should I merge both 2 1/4" pipes into (1) 3" into the flange, keep them divided all the way to the flange, or merge them right before the flange? Also, depending on the answer from above should I run a divided flange or an open flange? I want to run 1 gate as stated above.

Doesn't need to be divided. I run a bed mount S42 divided T6 flange as well. I ran 2.25" dual to a hand built merge into a 3" pipe. Flare the 3" open to fit the flange and filled in the gaps on the sides. Wastegate in the 3". I used my dremel to knock the corners off the turbo flange divider. I left about 1/8" or less of flat area in the center, so don't knife edge it, just round off the edge of both side of the divider. I had a picture of the completed flange and pipe but cant find it. But you'll get the idea. Actually works great.

I ma currently launching at 13.5psi at 3600rpm and a Tbrake and making 20psi .5 second after launch and holding it all the way down the track. Will be making more once I get bigger injectors.

Engine is a SBE 6.0

Ive seen so many people go both ways as far as piping...Im curious if anyone has any data or testing any of the merge pipe setups... Id like to see some pictures of 2 pipes all the way to the turbo flange with a single wastegate.

I am also madly curious. I did the same thing as the pics above (2 into 1) and put a 44mm gate off the 3" section after they merged. No data yet... subscribed!

If you want to use 1 gate, then at some point they will need to merge or combine flows.

when I built my setup. I ran both sides fully divided into the housing. I thin came back and added a 2" y for my gate right before the turbo flange. I truely divided setup will have 2 gates on each side. Liljohn claims a 500rpm quicker spool up being fully divided hotside.
