I have always loved those SOM Camaros. I will be out there again in April in their new 9.50 class so say hi if you see me. Even well into the 8s, I will still be too slow for true street so I will just turn it down and win the race in the 330’.

I have the transmission out and going to upgrade to a REID case and bellhousings since it is really hard to get a shield in our cars. I am also sending my converter back to FTI to be restalled. I have been also knocking out little odds and ends but should be starting the wiring soon.

It’s been a while since I updated this and have made lots of progress. I am going to get the car tuned on Monday and will be participating in the Dallas Streetcar Takeover on the 21st. I am too slow for true street since you need to run 7s here in TX to be competitive so I will be entering Real Street 9.5 class and turn the boost down. Come say hi if you see me out there.

That harness line on the passenger side is now tucked.
New PTC converter since I was blowing through my old converter.
Upgraded my trans since the old one turned out to be trashed. I also needed the SFI case since I am signed up for Drag Week 2018 and can’t fit a shield in my tunnel and didn’t want to mess with the CSR shield.

The dyno went well but started seeing the effects of my full 4” exhaust. It also wasn’t able to load up the converter quite right or I am starting to blow through it on the highest boost that we tested. Final numbers were 1029rwhp and 1109ft lbs. I will be adding meth and maybe the BTR intake manifold when it comes out.

Not sure but want to get the car on the track and data log with the weight of the car behind it to properly load the converter before I start pulling it out. PTC spec’ed it for 1100-1200 at the tires and started seeing slip past 1000. I will be racing next weekend but entering at 9.50 class. I will try and slip in a full pass at some point though.

Wow a lot has happened since my last post so I will just hit the basics.
-Drag Week is AWESOME and survived the week.
-Got a new carbon fiber hood
-Added meth
-New personal best is 8.78@154 with plenty to improve on
-Winter upgrades are TBM Brakes, Champion wheels, Moroso oilpan, BTR intake manifold, Holley 105mm throttle body, new puller fan setup, other small misc.
-I will be entering Drag Week again in 2019
-Goals for 2019 are to get the car into the mid 8.4s to be able to run a consistent 8.50 at Drag Week in SRSBPA, go to a couple local races, and most importantly enjoy the car more this since I hope to not be thrashing to get the car ready for Drag Week.

I am getting close to having everything wrapped up for a re-tune and to race May 5th and then the Oklahoma Streetcar Takeover on May 11th. Just need time in the garage.
