Default in need of a piston or piston info

I turned up the boost on twin turbo l33 and bent number 7 rod and scuffed up the piston pin boss area also. I was looking for one or some stock gm l33 pistons to get it back together. After two hours of reading and looking i'm still not seeing want i want and am more confused as to what they actually are. Mine are completely flat on top with the big cross or plus sign in them. All the ones I found that advertise for l33 have the cross on them but are dished. Any help or info is greatly appreciated. Thanks Mark

Yours should be flat top. The dished are lm7 5.3 pistons.

Correct, but where to get them ? Most all listings for l33 pistons are actually lm7 pistons. I was looking for a stock replacement, yes mine are flat tops. Thanks mark

They are standard 4.8L pistons for a floating rod application.

May not help you but...You can get a set of new gm oem (different style) pistons/rings on ebay for $150 https://www.ebay.com/itm/5-3L-4-8L-C...ZXUbQ6&vxp=mtr

Or a set without rings for $100.99 https://www.ebay.com/itm/5-3L-Chevro....c100005.m2219

Thank you, I may have to go that route but I was hoping to stick with the stock type originals if possible. I didn't think it would be hard at all to find them but I'm thinking I may be wrong

This is the truck basically street drivable. A lot of work still to do. This is a somewhat update that bad apache asked for. This is on hot rod power tour. Made 728 tire on the dump at power tour on 15 degrees timing and 15 psi. I don't know if that's good or bad but that's what it made on e85. It put 21 pound springs in it and bent Buber 7 rod. May of been do to pedaling it under boost, again I don't know. I lost a lot of build pics on my old phone but I will post more

Downhill in a hurricane maybe, lol. It's 8.50 cert'd, but I doubt it'll even need it with the current combo. If I wanted it to be fast, it'd have a turbo LS in it and not a roots SBC.

Thanks for the pics. Really loved seeing the build coming together in your thread. Glad you beat that things *** too! Check out Dave Dennis' Model A on youtube when you get a chance. He's hoping to break into the 7's next year. Good luck with your truck!

yeah dennis coupe is a bad boy for sure. I made a fun pass at gateway this year on power tour and on the street tires rolling into it at about 300' it went 132 spinning somewhat, its on youtube, I don't have any rollbar or safety stuff so I gotta watch and remember its a street rod and not a drag car. I put about 7-8 thousand miles on it this summer. I love the truck and how its turned out so far, thanks Mark
