Vortech To Turbo Kit
Hi everybody! I have a 2000 Camaro z28 with a vortech v1 t trim on it right now. I made 599.8/730 on the dyno with my current kit. It just doesnt seem to be enough for me though. So I've been looking into the Huron Speed T6 kits and thinking about taking part in the group buy. Before I do, I'd like to know your opinions.
I had my engine built by Cartek in Garwood,NJ late 2016. It currently has less than 500 miles on the build.
6.0 block
Eagle crank
Wiseco pistons, don't know the specs but I could find out from Julio.
Eagle rods
PRC 237CC ported heads
239/251 @.050 .629/.624 116LSA w/ 112ICL lunati cam
Ls9 head gaskets
SLP HPOP
ported ls6 intake
ARP head studs
3 bar map
As far as transmission.. It has a 4l60 in it with 3200 stall, all sonax parts, 5 pinion planets, raybestos carbon composite clutches. I do plan on swapping that for a TH400 in the near future though.
One of my biggest concerns in the cam. Is it too much for a turbo setup? I dont want to swap them unless I have to.
I did start to run out of fuel on the previous setup so if anybody could point me in the right direction of a kit that'll handle atleast 800rwhp that'd be great. Thanks

That cam is obnoxious and too low a stall speed for it. Do you already have a tubular k member that's needed for the HS kit? Personally if it's a street car to have fun in and the car is done with 1 kind of forced induction I would tear into it until you've maxxed it out. Turn the boost up.

A Tubular K-member is not required with the T6 kit the OP is looking at. If you have any questions on the kit at all please feel free to ask and I would be happy to help however possible. Our V3 T6 is an awesome option and very popular kit, you would be very pleased making the switch

He is inquiring on our v3 t6 kit which does not retain AC. It does not require a k member change either. We have 5 different kits available for these cars as of now, all have different specs, do different things, and some require certain components while others do not depending on the kit
