I got an old ams1000 for less than the cost of almost any of the newer stuff people are using.
it does lots of things very well, i had boost by gear working when i had a t56.
switching tunes takes a few button presses but if i wanted to make it just a switch it would be easy to use the scramble function to make a 'high boost' mode.

Yes but what do u use for a pressure source? Sorry for the newbie questions, but I need to learn this. I was wondering if u use boost pressure off of turbo, or external like co2 .

i have the eboost 2 and i use boost pressure. I dont see why it wouldnt work with onboard air or co2 though. same principle.

I have found the E Boost 2 for under $500.00. I'm not dead set on it, just looking for one that's kinda simple to use and have at least 3 programmable boost settings. I do Electronics/IT by trade, I'm sure I can figure out how to use which ever one I go with.

I'll be keeping my stock PCM and harness. Convert it over to a 3 BAR OS and I'm good to go. This is not a race car by any means, just a fun street weekend warrior! lol

stevieturbo - which ones are you referring to?

If that’s the case why in the world would you buy a $500 boost controller? Buy a $15 Arduino board and a $13 3 port mac valve and get to work! Search google/youtube. Lots of info out there. If that’s above your electronics ability, there are many cheaper boost controllers out there. Why spend the big bucks? Here’s a couple for $100ish

In the US for $150ish

Or again, a Mega squirt could do what you are asking as well as many other things. Progressive alcohol methanol control comes to mind. Were you planning on one of those?

I'm sure I could build something as I am a tinkerer.... While I like to experiment, it's the amount of time it will take to see if I can get something that will work. At this point I'm willing to spend a few bucks on a tried and trued boost controller.

I am going to buy the Alky Methanol kit for my car

Building an arduino boost controller is pretty easy, even closed loop boost control. It just takes time.

I wonder, if there was a plug and play MS3-Pro option that worked with the factory harness, if people would really be interested.

How much are you going to spend on the alky methanol kit and boost controller combined? Then factor in the MS cost.

I use the MS3 to control my progressive methanol kit. (it also does a better job of it with many more options than the standard dash mounted kit with *****.) It does boost control as mentioned (with more features than the boost controller you are talking about). It has traction control. (great for street cars). Controls my engine, and has many bells and whistles that are great for the track or playing on the street. 2 steps, rev limiters, data logging, auto tuning, AFR safety features…etc.

As much as the EBoost is very good...I'd take a plunge and buy the one I linked to first. It just offers more, for less.
