Default Looking for ECU advise

Hey everyone. I'm looking for some advice on what computer/wiring harness to run. My top two so far are MS3 Pro or Holley HP EFI. I want to stay in the $2k-$2500 range. The build I'm doing is a LS3 based stroker with a good size single turbo on E-85, 4L80 trans into a built 9". Power goals are 800-850rwhp. I'm just starting the build and I haven't built something in quite a while so I feel out of the loop. Any advice would be appreciated. If there's better options out there please let me know as well so I can look into them. Thank you!!

I am going to run the Holley HP on mine. I liked the layout of the Holley stuff better than tunerstudio. But the HP will not be able to control your 4l80e, you would have to step up to a Holley Dominator to control that

Buy whichever you can get the best install/tuning support for that fits your needs and budget.

But as above, probably the only one that will run the 4L80 in a single box is the Dom.

MS could when linked to their own MS auto trans controller which is another base MS or Microsquirt adapted.

Holley efi 550 -612 would be ideal if you want trans control in one unit but its also around $2,700

I'm using the dominator. On the other thing to think about is whether you want the ability for the tune to be adjusted using one wideband or 2. The HP will only be able to make adjustments using 1 wideband sensor… Which isn't bad if you are going single turbo as it will be able to read the overall afr of the engine after the turbo. I personally rather be able to read both banks as I am TT, hence the upgrade to the dominator.

Have you checked out Fast EFI? Might be what you need.

if i could start again i'd go holley dominator

so many inputs and outputs...boost by gear by speed....all the bells and whistles

It will mainly depend on what your budget is, and who is going to tune it for you.

Default ECU-882C + GM Trans Controller

HI ALL, the "late" GM PCM's use a separate Transmission Controller with CAN 2.0B interface to the ECM.
The Amazon cost is $87.00 as a new Delphi item purchase.

My ECU-882C will run a LS engine AND has a CAN interface.

At this time things should work though I have no knowledge of a way to program the Shift Points away from OEM settings ?

If found, the cost would be $1000.00 LOWER than the Holley.

Look into the Holley Terminator MPFI kits, If you're running 58x / and need Trans control then this kit will have most everything you need and it uses the Dominator ECU so you can tune with a laptop or the 3.5" screen that comes with the kit.

There are several variants of these kits and they will save you 2-3 hundred over piecing it together, You can save another 2-3 hundred if you buy it from Tick wholesale (Not the regular Tick website) I paid $2,311.16 for the kit when purchased thru www.tickwholesale.com in October 2017
