Intercooler size/cfm question hello, I have a 67 Chevelle with a forged 5.3 backed by a th400. I have a 80mm turbo and I don’t have a meth kit. The turbo is running off the WG which has the 14psi springs. What size/cfm intercooler should I be looking at? I’m looking for 650-700rwhp.
Also, space is limited. I could probably fit a 3” thick 24”x12”

Don’t sweat it too much. Go with the biggest you can fit and the best core you can afford. Stay away from china cheapie intercoolers if possible. Garrett/Bell have some of the best and Treadstone is a middle ground between the cheap and expensive stuff.
Just depends on the budget and what you’re looking for. Typical 31”X4”X12 (or the 3”) Ebay special is garbage as intercoolers go. Doesn’t mean guys haven’t gone really fast with them.

Thats what I use as well. Difference between the ebay IC of similar dimensions was huge on my setup. About a 40* drop in IAT and I picked up boost with less pressure drop across the core.
