I went bigger cu, larger custom blower cam, added water/meth and swapped to 4” front mount intercooler and swapped to the F1A. I should be running 15-18lbs of boost with a 4” pulley...I better hit over 750 or my feelings are about to be hurt haha
On my '99 Camaro back in the day, we had an F-1A with a 3.90 pulley on the head unit and saw 18 to 20 psi of boost. I had a 5000 stall converter that the car kept driving through and never got reliable dyno numbers. It did run a 9.12 in the 1/4 but it was driving through the converter so bad the mph was only 146 and the converter filled the Powerglide with shavings. We used the 232 240 595/608 115 lsa blower cam I still sell, and with AFR 225 heads and a Victor Jr. Compression ratio was in the 9.5/1 range. We then got a good converter in the car but started experimenting with an F-1C at the same time. Bob

91 pump gas, 18-20PSI.... I hope your static comp ratio is in the 8.*:1 region.

you'll be damn near if not beyond the limits of injector flow at that boost with your injectors. however if you flood it with meth that will be masked.

Finally going on the dyno...long wait for custom driveshaft and while we were waiting we swapped to ID1050x from the original ID725
if anyone needs ID725 and racetronix fuel rails message me great price on 6 month old injectors with no more that 300miles on them.

Had a few delays along the way first off was the delay in driveshaft was given a 4-5 day turn around ended up being a nearly 3 week turn around. Next issue was the massive belt slip and belt stretch. We made 11lbs of boost on the first pull and put down 736rwhp on 91 octane spraying meth as well but like I mentioned we had massive belt slip/belt stretch and we started to lose boost immeaditately through belt slip and a lose hose off the BOV. Initially we used the Gates Fleet HD (green belt). We went to the RPM series belt instead and it’s running stronger and not seeing any belt slip or stretch. We also moved the idler pulley furthest from the blower to give the aster bracket more tension. Boost was up to 15lbs and running consistently. Right now we are tuning for e85 I upgraded injectors to the ID1050X and we are still in the process of tuning. I’ll upload dyno graphs later on this week as we should be done. Doesn’t look like we will hit 900 might be close though, tuners guess is 840-865ish, on e85.

if anyone needs to upgrade injectors I have ID725 and fuel rails fmor sale they will support 700hp and are e85 compatible as well. They are listed in the marketplace for sale. literally about 6 months old less than 300 miles driven with these.

we made 736 on 11lbs of boost we are at 15lbs now running consistently I should have a few graphs later on this week we are still tuning for e85. Car is tuned for both 91 and e85. e85 is just hard to come by out here which is why we decided to do both

900 might be a little out of reach but we are making better boost now and tuning for e85, tuner says might be close but either we hit it or we don’t is how I look at it....So it’s not looking good right now haha. Next step might be to pulley down to a 3.80 but I think I’ll see how this setup runs out here first I was chasing hp as a goal/gauge now I’ll chase the time slips and go from there.

Nice to see it's still alive and kicking. Hopefully the rest of the tuning goes well.

And we are back...finally
didn’t hit 900 but we did hit 766 on 91 w/ meth at 12psi and 830 on e85 at 14psi. The pcm is too old to switch back and four from 91 to e85 so we just left the e85 tune in and spraying meth as just a safety.

Thanks to all for the suggestions: I upgraded the ID725 to the ID1050X and we definitely opened up a bit more. Motor still has more in it but for now I’m going to see what it runs and make my adjustments based on my times opposed to hp rating.

The HP numbers I was chasing were just s goal now I can make changes based on how it runs. 800+ hp is a total different animal unlike anything I’ve driven. Definitely a great

THANKS to everyone who replied gave suggestions and PM’ed me advice and suggestions truly appreciate all the info this forum is great for any LS enthusiast best info in the World Wide Web period

On a side note we had some heating issues. On the dual intercooler set up it basically makes you get rid of the stock air dam. Swapping to the front mount there is room to reinstall the air dam which forces more air up into the engine bay/radiator. We were hitting roughly 230ish degrees without the air dam. Since we rid of the air dam on the previous D1SC set up I had to fabricate a new air dam. It helped tremendously we have not gone above 200 even in the Texas heat.

Long time no reply...SAME motor different blower set up, bigger injectors and finally hit well above our goal. THAT ONLY TOOK A YEAR hahaha. Making good strong power on the f1a-94 blower and very little belt slippage on new a&a corvette bracket set up.

Yessir thank you I’m on borrowed time I hear but I watch the trans temp and RPM did a great job with the build. Made some really hard pulls and it’s still hanging in there. After this season I may refresh it or just go th400 don’t think I’ll miss overdrive it’s rarely driven since I removed both AC and Power Steering. Tapping a little over 1k to the wheels 1012rwhp to be exact. Can’t figure out how to upload videos I have on my phone, couple dyno pulls and some pretty good runs against a few high powered Shelby’s and vettes.

Did you ditch A/C because of the A&A pulley kit or just to save weight? Imagine it gets pretty warm in El Paso.

Yessir Had to ditch the ac for the A&A bracket. It does get pretty warm in elp but I don’t drive it daily nor when it’s above 90...haha so mainly a night driven car for the summer

i'm glad to see you made the 4 digit club! I still have your old set up in the box......life happens and delays come up. I ended up buying a 98 camaro to install it in with a cammed ls3. I'm curious what numbers i'll get out of it. I'm a six speed though
