The sock came from a company I deal with at work. Grand Rock Exhaust. They deal in diesel over the road truck type stuff. We had it laying on the shelf and I thought I'd try it out. Really do like it actually.

The turbo has a 96mm exhaust wheel and a 1.32 housing.

Here's the catalog. Page 92 has the exhaust sleeve. I also noticed they sell marmon flanges and clamps and all kinds of cool ****.

Updated to a billet CRT 80 this spring. Didn't get out but 3 times this season. Bought a new house and that killed the racing budget and free time. Made 12 passes total this season and starting to get a handle on it. Ended up going a best of 5.46@129 on 20psi and 15-16 degrees timing. I know it had 30s in it. Just ran out of time to get it there as we are winding down up here. New engine going together for next season. LSX block, stock stroke Callies CCW crank, Molnar power adder plus rods, LJMS cam, Johnson lifters, 4.070 Wiseco pistons. If the budget is there it'll also get a set of TFS235's. If not we'll start the season on the current 317's and switch after that. Hoping to get it in the 5.10s for next season.

love the car, it amazes me how some guys can get your cars in the 5:50 with box stock s475's and large cubes. Ls3fox 8:50's and a few others your cars work exceptionally well.

Just like anything it’s all a combination. The converter works really well with this setup and it helps when you have a chassis that you know is more then capable. This 80 I put on is just a standard cover. I know it has a 30 in it and with someone who is a real good tuner probably a 20 something. Just was getting nervous about pushing the engine much further. This was year 4 on it and I’d like to take it out and still have it useable as I have a 70 nova I’d like to through the engine and the 75 in. Once the good engine is done for the mustang.
