BOV spring too stiff? VS Racing BOV
BOV spring too stiff? VS Racing BOV I have a VS Racing BOV, the soft spring would hold the BOV open at idle
installing the stiff spring, I notice a little turbo flutter when I let off at about 5 psi, letting off at 12 psi I don’t hear the flutter as much
is this ok? Or should I run the soft spring and just run the BOV open while at idle?
the flutter sound sounds like what a Supra BOV sounds like, but I can definitely hear it coming from the turbo and not the BOV

Hmm, well I tried stretching the light spring. It just eventually loses it's length and the BOV opens. VS Racing says to use the stiff spring for LS engines. Maybe I need to lube up the BOV to make sure it can easily open?

Can you put a smaller helper spring inside the light spring? You can probably source this from a decent hardware store, or shim it with a washer or two.
I actually had a smaller spring, I think it was meant for the wastegate. I looked into doing what you said (doubling up the springs) but the smaller spring doesn't sit 100% flat and I feel like it may cause the BOV to bind up
