It’s a 10” with a 21 fin stator and 200+ fin angle. It’ll footbrake to 3200 and I’ve had it to 3400 on the trans brake, but never tried any higher. It’s tight through the 1/8 in second gear (th400) and has an 800-1000 rpm shift extension depending on the boost. BTW, the stator fin count is different than the ones you see for the 9.5” unit (14, 15, 16 etc). Totally different converter.

You really need to get in touch with a manufacturer and give them the specs of your combo and be brutally honest about intended use of the vehicle. Torque Converters, like camshafts, are not one of the things you should ask the population "Hey, what do you guys use?" One different component in your combo can make it miserable compared to someone else.

Agree. I took my old Precision Vigilante stalled to 4200 and put it in my TH350 and raced. It 'blew thru the converter' (ie: didn't drop hardly any rpms on the shifts) and it went 11.5. Ordered a custom PTC TC and with no other changes, it went 10.6 the first time out and quicker in the 1/8th (6.4 ) than it had ever gone before. TC can be frustratingly pricey but a good one will make a LOT of difference over a cheap "B&M Holeshot" for $350.
Not slamming Precision Vigilantes at all. It's just that for the combination I now have, that Stall was all wrong for my application because it was designed for a prior engine. There's tons of guys cutting great ET's with the vigilante's.
