Caprice PPV....new project

Yeah, I'm still trying to catch up on my reading for it. So far, I've done exhaust, intake (cai), and tuned it w/ HP Tuners. I sourced a 3.27 diff local, and want to swap the steel wheels to 18" Camaro wheels, SS springs, cam, etc I'm sure it'll eventually end up turbo also LOL.

As small as I thought these turbos were when I took them out of the box, I don't think they will work for me. Talked to agp and ordered these. https://agpturbo.com/agp-turbo-z2-5757b-billet/.

Got the new turbos. Opened the box and, again, amazed how small they are! Set it next to the vs 6162 that it's replacing and its the same size! Turns out the 5757e's got sent. Called and the correct 5757b's will be here on friday. Take the turbine housings off and send the e's back with a prepaid label. Quick correction by agp.
I will try to get a comparison pic of the turbos I have together. AGP 5757b, AGP 5757e, on3 7065, garrett gt3071r, vs 6162(gt3582), and a garrett t4 s480.
Decided to go air air intercooler. Ordered this yesterday morning and have it today! https://huronspeed.com/product/huron...es-twin-turbo/ Gonna need a saw...
My friend is doing a zl1 blower on his ppv and will probably use the interchiller I bought.
Also deleted the oil cooler to make room for piping.

Hard to tell from the pic, but the 5757b's obviously provide a bit more ground clearance. The driver side pic has the 90 off the compressor housing super close to the trans but not touching, I dont think. I will clearance the 6l90e in that area when it goes in. Should probably add a section of aluminum to the compressor housing to get the coupler away from the manifold. Going to try to get the intercooler mounted tomorrow.

Thanks! I got the pipes tucked tighter since the pic. The swaybar runs into the inner tie rod boot before it hits the pipe, so should be fine. That tan ltd you commented on in post 35 is for sale!
Worked on the driver side piping today and it is more difficult with the steering shaft and power steering lines. I think I have the hard part done. Got the exa pump today. What size oil return lines are required with a scavenge pump? Going to tee them together before the pump. I am going to mount it on the driver frame rail where the coolant reservoir is on the other side.

Wow, awesome. I just joined after reading this thread.(belong to Caprice and G8 forums so far for the info) I also have a 2011 PPV and bought an entire ZL1 drive train, from the LSA motor to the 6L90E to the 6 piston Brembos, complete rear cradle/diff, blah blah blah. Blower no turbos, but still very interested in what you are doing since i will eventually be doing much of the same. Curious about the rear cradle, I know spare tire tub clearance with the ZL1 sway bar is one thing, and it raises the car about 3/4" in the rear I 'm told due to thicker mount bushings. Also perhaps 3/8" narrower overall. Brakes I think is close to a direct bolt on. I'm not using coil-overs though. New stock struts with H&R G8 lowering springs.
Luvin' it, keep it up.
