Default Divided Flange or not?

Looking at prefabbed flanges and found one that has the divider in it. Seems like I read somewhere that divided is not as good for spool time? Going on a 6.0, 76/75 Precision, 3200 stall 4L80 1969 Camaro. Daily driver. Thanks in advance for any helpful input. Here is the link to the flange in question.

a completely devided hot side will spool faster than a single pipe on a t6 turbo. I went from a single feed t4 80/83 borg to a devided 80/96 borg and it spools just as fast or faster than the old turbo. ljms says 500 rpm faster spool.

I've also heard from trusted sources that a divided flange will spool faster than an open flange since the divided section directs more flow to the back of turbine.
This was in a T6 configuration but I don't see why it would be any different than T4, depends a lot on the combination too.

It all depends on the goal of the car. On a daily driver, I'd personally go open flange without question. Keep it simple.
Are you really going to build or buy the exhaust required to take advantage of the divider? I've never seen a single turbo LS twin scroll exhaust for sale. Do you even have room for that exhaust? Without a very expensive exhaust, a divider in the flange is just restricting free area and thus flow of the flange.
I PERSONALLY think that twin scrolls on a V8 is a waste of money and effort. Its a pain in the *** to build the right exhaust and package the setup in your vehicle and all for what, slightly better spool? I think your energy would be better spent making sure your cam/turbo combo is on point for your goals and your setup produces 1:1 back pressure or less.

I suck at formatting but take a look at this thread for more twin scroll info:

If the turbine housing is an open flange, merge the pipes and run an open flange. If the turbine housing is divided run two separate pipes up to the flange? A lot of guys run open flanges on twin scroll turbos/ don’t run a complete divided hotside. Most don’t have issues but it’s not how your supposed to do it “by the book” but who the hell does that.... I didn’t do stainless pipe but I have about $100 in my divided hotside for my s480 and two evenings of work so it was worth it to do it right

No.. If the turbo runs a divided housing.... if you keep both sides seperate... you can realize 500-800 rpm quicker spool response...

Makes a world of difference...__________________

copyed this from yellowbullet. my old combo was a 2.5 from both banks merged to a single 2.5 pipe to a s480 80/83 turbo. ran it for years went a best of 9.44 at 143 mph with it. changed to a s480 80/96 t6 completely separate 2 1/4 pipes . spools as good as it ever did before if not faster. will build 6 psi boost in about 1 sec on 2step.

I run 2.25 off each manifold to a single 2.5 into the open flange. My 5.3 will make about 20 psi on the brake in around 2 seconds. This is with an S475/83 t4 1.25 turbo. You can see where pulling timing caused the dip in the RPM trace. Without pulling timing, it’s build faster yet. I wouldn’t worry about being divided on your t4 IMO.
