Default Boosted 4.8 4l80 problems

What’s up like the title says. I got a problem with my truck 04 1500 4.8 with an 80 segment swapped with hp tuners. Truck will randomly hit neutral or 2nd gear which the scanner says and not move after driving for a few minutes. When first started it will start in 1st and run through the gears then randomly stop and not move in drive or reverse. Scanner will say it’s in 2nd no matter where the shifter is moved. Trans is also whining when revving it up. Line pressure is normal and the fluid is within its limits on the dipstick. Anybody got anything?

something is up with that segment swap. thats what they do with a 60e segment in them. **** me for knowing that lol.

if the segment is right, you should be able to manually select a gear and the pressure switch manifold will inform the ECU as to what gear its in.

why would it work it work for a few minutes though I would think it wouldn’t work at all if the 60 **** was still in there

When there’s little or no fluid pressure, it’ll stay in second.

I’ve checked over everything still have yet to figure it out. Got two trucks doing the same thing. Works fine for a few minutes then defaults to second and won’t move.

Nothing. Would it matter if I did the segment swap before or after upgrading os to 3 bar?

ive never done a trans segment swap. but the OS is the main file so the segment swap should be done after the OS change. OS literally stands for "operating System" so that's your main file, the segment modifies that file. is this the order you applied yours or did you do it the other way around?

as truckdoug stated originally, id go back to that as hes had experience with the same issue when the 60e segment was loaded. that would tell me you did do it OS after and the original file saved with the 60e segment in there. seems like you need to segment it again with the proper OS first then the trans adjustments. side note...you using bluecat trans tool for your trans adjustments as well? if not check it out, pretty awesome deal and easy to use
