Default Brake booster delete

I'm having trouble finding info on this mod. I would like to know if its possible to drive on street with just a master. How do the brakes respond? What if any thing special do you have to do. I'm running turbo with forward and up headers" no room for master and booster" any part numbers recommend or just a bad idea. As you can see

Manual brakes are used all the time. You have to change to a different master and change the pedal ratio. If you looo up manual brake conversion on google there will be alot of info on making it happen.

Looks like you could get away with a snmaller booster and you regular master. Its hard to tell from pictures but it looks like a 7 inch brake booster which alot of folks sell would work there by the picture. Tuff stuff makes good 7 inch dual diaphragm booster but any brake company makes them too.

I did purchase a 7 inch booster and master but I have about 3 inchs from bottom of master to master. I think I'm going to try the manual road just have not seen much info other than putting on Hondas. I guess I need to call wilwood and talk to a tech. Just a little worried about drivability on street with manual brakes

I bought a master from summit when i changed to manual brakes on my 91 camaro for the same reason you are. I think they set me up with a smaller bore master if i remember correctly. It has been like 12 years since i did this so dont quote me. I moved the hole in the pedal for the rod like an inch towards the pivot to give it more leverage on there recommendation. It was slightly stiffer pedal feel and a bit longer travel but i never saw a performance decrease. Honestly it gave more feel for the brakes in my opinion. That car always stopped good on the road and track and it trapped 140 in the quarter. I think you will be fine with manual brakes if you get the right master cylinder.

You can easily run with no booster, master and pedal ratio is important as someone already said. Hydroboost is the way to go, that's what I did on my '55, it runs off pressure from the power steering pump.

I have been on phone with jegs and wilwood and I have part numbers for anyone running same setup. Part 260-9439 master and 330-12898, 260-13190 are needed. Looks like a simple clean setup for limited room.

A lot of square body guys with turbos run no booster and its fine. I would almost say better if you are into any spirited driving or auto cross type stuff. With no anti-lock, its a lot easier to keep from locking a tire up with manual brakes because the extra force doesn't creep up on you. If you want to lock them up you really have to give it to that pedal.
