Default LSX376 + 4.5 Whipple

So - I just basically got done with the big inch stroked/ carbed LS3/2004R in my 67 Biscayne - like December 2018 -
it's quick - really quick -gobbles up ZO6's and makes me smile big as hell - but - it's cantankerous as hell on the street - So here I am, asking for pointers because somehow, one of those brand new LSX376B15's is now in my barn... and there's a big 4.5 rear feed whipple that just showed up too... Wegner drive setup also...oh and a BTR PDSstg3 cam/valve springs and hardened pushrods
but... that's all I have - I know I need to have a pump/tank to make the intercooler do it's thing - I have to swap my Aeromotive 340 stealth pump for a bigger one... and I have to ditch the MSD6014 and get a Holley whatever setup to run the EFI/Spark...
So - ask questions if you need to and please - give me some solid info - I'm 51 so you can't hurt my feelings too awful bad...
Fire for effect!
Thanks!

With a 4.5L Whipple feeding much of any motor, you may as well plan on ditching that 200 trans for a glide. Have you actually researched how much air that blower will pump?

I thot the same when I initially built the car..Mike @Century transmissions built the 200 that's in it... and as the rule goes...it had a lot of money tossed at it and will take quite a bit of power. ( initially built for the car w a 300 shot of nitrous intended in addtn to the motor.) I was skeptical also but it's been bulletproof so far. I'll get with him and see what he thinks. but should be gtg.

For fuel, I would do duel in-tank pumps. If you plans are for pump gas + meth then I would add a second 340 pump. If you have plans for E85 I woud do twin 450 or 525 pumps. For EFI control I would use a Holley system like a Terminator X set-up or an HP set-up since you don't need transmission control.

The torque will be so violent.....just right. I would agree with twin 340/450s but didn't see a power goal either. Largest heat exchanger in the front bumper you can fit to cool the blower.

not alot of room behind that bumper contrary to belief... I'm laying the cooler on its edge and fabbing an intake out of glass/carbon in the air dam (I made that too) think of a 35" cutout in my air dam and the duct will be shaped like an "L" with the intercooler at the top of the L... pretty much the only rational option. anyway...going w Holley Hp efi, Deatschwerks 1200cc/min injectors, Canton 2 gal tank made for GT 500 ferds... and same Shelby pump (Ferd part also..so itll all match my Moser 9 in already in there..ferd in front, ferd out back..lol) going Aeromotive Trifekta on the pump...should have most of it Monday. Cam is a BTR stage 3 PDS and got his valvesprings and 7.80 hardened pushrods also... right now I've got that big inch LS3 w vic jr and David Cook carburetor w 4" element..I got it to clear, so with this I'm just going to hafta worry about the blower case touching behind the pulley due to the engine 4 deg tilt aft - that's further forward than the current air cleaner nut so the likelihood of it rubbing is greater. . ...may notch the pan and tig in a nice filler...should ( no..it WILL) be entirely underhood. and the HP objective is 1100 give or take... that's what I know now. Stay tuned boys and girls!.

Cool car and cool build. I personally would do a 4L80e because it allows you full programmability when used with a Dominator or Terminator X Max. If budget allows, do the Dominator. Also do DBW!

What headlights are those, please?

should be zero amount... the single plane, carb and air filter element top out at 12.8 in from the valley plate - I think the supercharger measured at 12.3 ish.. may have to mod the hood bracing forward of where I already have but most likely re do my motor mounts and adjust the front crossmember ( adjust meaning cut and weld. )

the headlights are some aftermarket LED's made for streetbikes - Harleys etc... seems all the 5.75 LED car offerings have halo's... being as I'm not 17 - Halo's don't appeal to me so I got 4 of these - had to massage the radiator support and buckets to make them fit.

Goals for set up? Intended use? Power? I would absolutely not put two 340's on that set up...you'll be out of fuel before you even come close to scratching the power potential IMO. Provide some better info and people can steer you in the right direction.

1100 HP goal - mentioned a few posts up below the car pic. Have Aeromotive Phantom Trifekta going in... E85...1200ccmin injectors....

Well - sorted out some minor issues on the serpentine drive - Whipple did a revision to the blower snout bolt ( now surface mount vs flush where the drive shaft bolts to the snout) that changed the pulley mounting - then - when the 275AX case initially was designed, it was with AN10 cooler line fittings - they swapped to AN12 - and Wegner at the same time altered the bracket but wasn't aware of the -12 fittings or the snout bolt changes. I have been talking with Michael @ Whipple and Casey Wegner and working the issues ( thank God we have a milling machine) and got it sorted out - Wegner is remaking some pulleys and maybe the bracket for the idler off my dims and maybe I'll get them soon - come to find out, I was the first build out of the gate after the changes so I guess that makes it R&D! Both companies have been more than outstanding with their help.
Got all my intercooler items ready to go minus the Canton tank ( its drop shipped when done) and I ordered a 67 Impala front bumper from Glasstek so I can do some custom alterations to it and accommodate the big Afco heat exchanger and try really hard to make it look somewhat in keeping with the stocker theme of my car.
