The couple of times I've measured backpressure on a rear mount setup, it was lower than a comparable front mount setup, for the same reason measuring EGTs at the rear gives you a lower reading.
The exhaust cools and condenses. Helps those guys running tiny turbines get away with it.

The import guys do some crazy stuff sometimes.
We did a test where water was being misted into the exhaust on a rear mount civic to test the differences in EGT and backpressure with/without the water.
EGTs dropped a great deal obviously, but backpressure only dropped slightly due to the expansion of the water turning to steam.

So the guys basically turned the exhaust into a giant heatsink, to try and let out as much heat as possible before the turbo.
I believe there was even an intercooler involved at one point.
Backpressure tanked. Big time. Power went up. I remember spool being hurt though but I don't remember how much.

Interesting example, albeit front mount. RH is really putting them out these days !
Obviously a rear mount would be worse in every respect with losses/restrictions everywhere. But good to highlight what backpressure does on a bad setup.

Water injection POST motor? That's pretty wild. You remember Zombies rear mount saga? I read over that a bunch when picking my hotside.

That video pretty much highlights why I'm wondering lol. 7665 turbo on a relatively large 5.7. But generally you go down 1 size on the turbine for a rear mount which is why Im hoping I'm in the sweet spot. Had several people concur with this turbo even though "it's the dumbest turbo ever for a front mount" lol.

Grabbed one of my 6.0 gen3 dished pressed pin piston/rods on accident but top down is .180. Thats quite a bit less than our ls1 style. Their ch on paper is 1.328-1.330. I get 1.335 when actually measured. Thats to the top of the piston. dish is .040 deep x 3.218 roughly. This should be in a separate thread. Ill compile info.

It was just for a test. We welded a bung in the exhaust and tossed the biggest nozzle we had in it. There were backpressure and EGT sensors immediately before and after the turbo.
Those guys ended up spraying 100% meth through that nozzle at high boost at one point, I wish I was there for that. I heard there was a fire, broken parts, and a few quarts of oil on the ground.

No pics atm, but a few updates:

Meth kit is on the way from another member on here. Bought an M10 nozzle and some additional 4" pipe to move the MAF upstream so I can still spray pre-TB but post MAF. Going to try and tune without it so its just there for cooling and added safety since I'll be using WWF not boost juice or anything.

Racetronix is sending me a replacement FPR due to some issues with the first one. They were quick to open a ticket and are sending out the new FPR with return shipping for the old one next day.

Also bumped my desired airflow at cold start a few g/sec and it got rid of my cold start surging finally. Cold start is rock solid now.

Picked up 1 of those upper dash pads to cover the factory broken one instead of the fabric overaly. People seem to say the new ones fit decent and look pretty good. Cleaning the car up a bit so it looks as good as it runs

Once I get rid of some of these stock wheels/DR's I need to figure out a set of drag tires to run when I want some sort of reasonable traction...

ICT billet makes the MAF bung. (2) 90 degree pipes merged together, reduce all those couplers down to 2.
