Default Can I get 480-500ish rwhp on 92 oct pump gas?

Mods are in sig.
I like the nitrous, but it is not really the best for the street where I spend 99% of the time.
So I am wondering if a procharger on lower boost would give me 480 or so rwhp that I am looking for w/o having to use e85 or meth.
My heads have been milled .030, so I have a little bit more then stock compression.
I am not looking to set the world on fire, but I would like around the same performance that I have on the bottle.
[Only run 100 shot pill's on the street]
I have done quite a bit of looking, but the guy's that I am seeing here are looking to lay down some serious power, so I am not finding the info that I am looking for.
So can 480 or so whp be done reliably with my engine set up w/o having to run e85 or meth?

Don't know why it's not showing up.
Stock 01 bottom end, PRC stage 1 heads milled .030, GM Hotcam, 1-7/8 headers, no cat's, slp lid, ls6 intake, powerbond underdrive pulley, nitrous outlet plate with 100 shot jet's for the street, 150 for the track, FLT level 4 trans with a Yank 3600 stall, 3.73 gears, 27" hoosier qtp's.

With a conservative tune you could achieve your goals with craptastic 87 octane. 92 should be no problem. Just remember, the internet can say anything, but your spark plugs will always tell the truth.

it's a very modest goal, no reason why it should not be doable...although the extra CR maybe not such a great idea.

And stock 5.7 pistons are not renowned for their robustness, so will be on borrowed time regardless of the boost or the nitrous. Although a centri will be easier on things.

I only run 93 pump as I have no easy access to e85. With that being said I run 12-15lbs on the street with a Stock 5.3 with ported heads. I also run about 14* at 15psi with a small shot of wiper fluid to keep things happy right after the FMIC. Car only sees street miles but I drive on the street like it’s a track. Making about 650 at the crank so I’m over the 500whp mark on the cheapest 93 pump I can find.

You should be able to do it no prob. Might want a little wiper fluid to help any detonation etc.

Thanks for the reply.
I have been hearing that about the stock pistons for years now.
But for me at least, I have not had any issue.
Car has 107k on it now, and I am on prolly my 30th btl of nitrous.
I even had a plug melt down once when I forgot to change tune's and a bore scope showed the piston and cyl suffered no damage.
Of course, now that I have said that...

Stock 5.3 is like 9.5:1. I never measured anything out but I also went from paper head gaskets to MLS. Even if it was 10.5:1 u could still boost it no problem on 93. The key is timing and keeping IATs down. But like I said watermeth is a game changer, 50/50 mix (boost juice) on 93 pump is equal to something like 113 octane or something. Wiper fluid (-20 blue stuff) is like a 70/30 mix so that drops the octane a bit but the added water is better for detonation, plus I buy a bunch of
gallons when it’s on sale for like $1-2 a gallon which is cheaper than 5 gallons of 50/50 boost juice by a lot.

Quick Reply: Can I get 480-500ish rwhp on 92 oct pump gas?
