Swap my manifold?
however now that I see the finished product, I’m second guessing using these manifolds altogether. They will function perfect the way they are, just found someone running a better looking set in my shell which I didn’t think would fit.
As you can see in the pictures, my flipped truck manifolds work fine and the bends are fine. They will function well. I just don’t like how un even the bay looks. I was hoping the driveside pipe was more rounded rather than straight down to turbo.
so my question, is what would you all do? Leave the pipes that are finished and just get car tuned and enjoy it because functional. Or would you change to the new manifolds which would function just as well but greatly improve the appearance of the engine bay. Cost wise would be about $300 that I paid welder for the manifold pipes that I wouldn’t use anymore (could be sold though). Also maybe a pissed off welder for having him make a new connecting pipe
turbos, downpipes wouldn’t be moved though. The turbos are mounted to the frame so could just install new manifolds and make connecting pipe to turbo flange. Also waste gates have not been welded to current manifolds yet. So wouldn't need to redo those. Sorry for long post!
you can ignore my IC lines in pic. It was my only picture in that angle that I drew on. You can see turbo is in front of the p/s pulley whereas the manifolds come out off to right of pulley abit.
