The car has been running for a year and ended with a personal best. Nothing record setting, but a good start for next year. It's a JFR 218 with valve springs in a 6.0, s478/92, powerglide at 3350lbs. This was leaving on 7# and going to 16#s. The internet almost had me convinced the 20 year old 3 way comp and single adjustable shocks would never work. Thanks for all the info.

It was Feb. 2012, cover of SS. Had another sedan I was going to go twin turbo LS, but
someone wanted it to build a super stocker, not sure if they ever did.

Race weight with 8 gallons of fuel and all the warrior wheels is 3350lbs. The the weld wheels and hubcaps will be a more. 3170lbs minus me.
That’s awesome! I got mine down to 3550 race weight with a aluminum motor. Still got a/c, full interior, and 4l80e though. Been looking for a 64-65 or 78-81 Malibu for my old 6.0l. It’ll be gutted with a glide and a 88mm.
That thing is awesome. We are just finishing up the chassis on my dads 65 4 door. Grandpa bought it new and dad started running it in Stock and Super Stock back in the early 70's. It has been in hibernation since 2000 hope to have it out next season as a super stocker again for a couple years then will get a LS single turbo setup using my leftovers from my current car.
