Default 2 step

Hey, about to order the msd 8733 2step box
https://www.jegs.com/i/MSD/121/8733/...iABEgK7y_D_BwE.

After reading alittle it seems this one is also popular, but some reviews of backfiring after install.

https://www.lingenfelter.com/product/L460105297.html

i have twin gt35 5.3 with efi live. Avcr apexi controller. I’m not familiar with the ls world stuff, any other recommendations? Cars mainly driven on street and occasional will go to NH drag way.

I've used the LNC-003 with great results. Never heard about backfiring issues.

I don’t need a lot of features. The msd seems more plug and play, simple setup. Just wish harness was longer so box went inside my car. I guess there hasent been any newer boxes to come out so I’ll use that. The threads I was reading were all really old so was unsure if those boxes were still the newest.

The LNC is simple to install/adjust and has the option for 2 limiters (not sure if the MSD has that as well). Simply plug in to coil harness and run your trigger wire(s).

For the price of everything you're getting, including EFI Live, you couldn't bought a Holley Terminator X that did everything you want a whole lot better than any of the stuff you're using.

crossed that bridge already... wasn’t fully informed o guess. Now it’s too late to turn back. Money already spent.

i already had harness for the car that was custom and figured it was just tune cost for ecu. Then spent bunch on gauges and now for 2 step. Sucks cause I want a tablet display instead of gauges too. I could’ve just purchased ecu and harness from the start. Not happy about it honestly. Especially when the clutch goes or trans goes on my swap and I make car an automatic. Then I’ll hate myself even more.

i could sell everything I guess. It’s all new still. At this point, I want the car to be running and get some seat time.

Their -002 was plagued with issues. Mine would literally shut the car off in the middle of a pull. Figured out it was highly dependent on hardness routing due to poor EMI.

Right. Spend a few extra bucks and save yourself hours and hours of headaches and issues.

Hell, a used gen 1 MS3Pro or MS3 Gold Box can be found used for under 1k, and you're a $70 ebay refurb Samsung Galaxy tablet away from having an amazing gauge cluster.
