Hey guys I have a 88 cavalier, got a 5.3L bored out to a 5.7L.

Crankshaft: Callies Dragonslayer
------Rods: Callies Ultra I beam
---pistons: Wiseco -10cc dish top pistons 3.903
---Heads: Air Flow Research 230cc w/72cc chambers
---intake : Holley Hi Ram Intake w/102mm throttle body
----compression is gonna be 9.5:1 so we can pour the boost to it-----
#its at the machine shop getting put together now so no pics#

 

While waiting on the engine to be complete, the car needs a lot of work done to it to get it ready to race.... First thing is the rear brakes, they are drums that are getting converted to disc, started working on them yesterday

 

Got the drums off and ready to get to work

 

New Disc brakes came in today, these things look sweet, by speedway bolt up Ford 9in Disc brakes

Went by the Machine shop today, to order more parts and go a peep at the new wiseco forged Pistons

 

... Please tell me the 'street outlaw' in this subject has nothing to do with that TV show lol.

 

I do more racing on the street than on the track....

 

That first pic just glancing at it, I thought it was a Malibu. I guess it was because of the angle, hood and front grill setup with the headlight covers. I dig it!

Got all the parts for the brake swap, so I got started today

 

Got the disc brakes complete today

 

Started Relocating the radiator I picked up today

 

Had to do some work to get that radiator to fit, gotta make room for the air to water intercooler, it should be in next week

 

Got started on motor mounts

 

Air to water intercooler came in

 

 

I don't think skinnies race was rigged....
