Should I trust it? Lnc2000
But the GUI of the software is far better. Their COS setups are the best there is when it comes to factory pcm.
People like having EFILive/Hptuners/tunercats/etc as it will work on their vehicle, their future vehicles, their friends vehicles. The value is huge if used in that way. If you work on one vehicle then the value isn’t there AT ALL.
I have owned efilive for over ten years. Tuned the truck I bought and built last year with it. But when I set out to finish my fbody, I already had the pcm and harness... but needing boost control, wideband, staging control, 3 bar... and wanting RTT and ease of use.. I spent the $1000 thinking I was splurging. By the time the car was running I realized it saved me $1000 and the car was running way faster.
I wasn’t going to reply, but **** it, I’ll play......
because my lnc2000 is used, I’ll get what....$200-$220
then my cortex, because not maybe people have heard of it, I might get $200-$250
and then my $130 wideband I’ll get what...70 bucks. So best case I’d get $540 back. Which given the current situation, I doubt I’d get that. And then put in $400 instead of the efi live, I’ll have $900ish total (figure shipping and pay pal fees) and the system I need is about $1300 so that’s another $400......just really not an option for me at this moment. Yea, knowing what I know now, I should have skipped all this crap but I also wasn’t planning on building a forged piston motor or taking things to where I am now. Yea, I should have known better. But shouldn’t we all know better when we begin? When I started this endeavor, I didn’t have the money to do that anyways. It started out as a low budget project and keep it below 8-10psi. Yea, that didn’t last long because we get greedy.

it is a deal. But with everything closing right now, the last thing I need to do is waste money on a car when I really shouldn’t. It’s running right now. Running good, not to it’s potential, but that’ll come once this pandemic is over with.
fitech timing table attached just for ***** and giggles. I know the resolution is poo with the large jumps after 100kpa. These things are boost capable right out of the box but the main intent was NA engine swaps on the cheap.
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
You can log both the LNC-2000's amount of Spark Retard, and the vehicle's Actual Timing.
You simply have to setup two new User Defined parameters in the software. If I can figure it out (obviously with help from the guy who posted the formula)...Damn near anyone should be able to, lol. I got the formula from "shenanigans", and have attached the screenshots of the formulas, and what needs to be logged in the Channels, for it to work. Only "wiring" needed, is connecting the GREY wire from LNC box, to your HPTuners "dongle", and of course however it is connected to the MAP sensor...If you have the MPVI2, I have no idea if it is the same....
LNC-2000 HPTuners Spark Retard formula
LNC-2000 HPTuners Actual Spark Timing formula
It worked GREAT with my old nitrous setup, and should work great with Boost, as well. It matched my LNC-2000's "commanded" spark retard exactly...
