Th400 boosted
the biggest question for me and him both, what convertor to buy?
stage 2 turbo cam, stock bottom end 5.3 motor. Comp. 76/75 turbo with .96 AR. Boost was almost instant on the setup but no dyno sheets for the car. 3200lb shell with 3.54 gears. Car is not tuned yet but has gen3 motor so most likely stop around the 600ish mark for power. Car will be used at track afew times a year at most. It’s really a weekend fun car.
so far we need to source flexplate,convertor,shifter and make new DS. Convertor prices are all over the place. I figured $500-700 price range would be a good point?

Not budget by any means but my last BBC/Nitrous converter was custom spec'd to handle 900whp in a street application and set me back $900 iirc.
Plus I could send it back to have the stall slightly adjusted for free within the first 60 days of purchase.
When they say it stalls to 3,400 rpm, it stalls to 3,400 rpm and locks up like clutch.
