Never quite as sexy once you pile on all the crap that actually makes an LS run lol. It did run today but holy ***** the tune change is more radical than I was expecting or maybe hoping for.
We'll have it whipped into shape soon enough.

Hey Mr B...
Is there a special reason you hooked the Vac Solenoid to the front of the Snout (Blue Circle) rather than the nipple (Yellow Circle) on the top of the blower? Everything I've read says to pull that vac signal from the top of the blower. I looked at your previous version and it was also plumbed there. Just curious. Or am Over Thinking again?
Also, I assume that the Soft Line next to the valve springs is for the HVAC? My AC works too and I am GLAD!!
Thanks!!

Jumbo it really doesn't matter. Either of those ports will work. The bypass valve only needs to see vacuum or lack of vacuum. It doesn't need to see boost. I use the port by the brake booster on the snout as that plastic pipe is strong and it acts like a huffy chainguard to insure the throttle body wiring harness can't get into the belt. That would be a show stopper of a failure and a stranding situation. The upper port sees boost as well. I use that to run my 1:1 fuel pressure regulator.
Yes the long skinny hose is HVAC. My AC also still blows ice cubes but it's not tuned for it right now. So if I turn it on it will stall the engine. I can only use it in steady cruise like going down the highway lol. If I try to come to a stop with the AC on it will kill the engine. Should be fairly easy to tune out one I get there. Other fish to fry first.
Got almost 300 miles on the new engine already.

I'm sure you DO have other fish to fry - you're a busy cook, that's for sure.
I don't like all the 'T' connections off that little nipple - I might give that a try for the Boost Can. I do have a little manifold in the fenderwell. It is for the Boost gauge and the Hobbs. Having all that PLUS the Can might be a bit much for the skinny line and I can keep it ALL a Boost signal by moving the can's source - I like it!!
Anyway, FWIW, I had some of these clips laying around. With a little twist they self thread into a Boss on the snout and hold that wire very securely. Getting that wire into the belt would be a day ender.
You're doing the Lord's Work - carry on..

@Mr. Black,
It's awesome how quickly you got this turned around to back up and running! Thank you for your patronage of the Ghost cam and a tip of the cap to you for the YouTube video. Sounds like music to our ears

Mr Black,
wow that’s sounds great. I was wondering how this was going with the new 408 SB.
when do you plan on 1st oil change. What did SCOL charge for the blower rebuild?
thanks,
jimbo

You may or may not be able to see a gopro stuck on the windshield in the cam video hehe. Coming soon.
Still running straight weight oil even on the second oil fill per AMS request. Will probably change it to normal synthetic at 500 miles or so.
No doubt the rings are seated already.
Oil filter looked great. no scary monsters at all. Usual new engine crap in there but nothing with part numbers and serial numbers on it.
Blower with a brand new rotorpack assembly was 1675 with return shipping no tax. Couldn't be happier with their service.

Thanks Ron. That's actually an old cheap refurbed GoPro that I have with an external microphone added on. Keep cost low in case it falls off the car lol.
My phone would probably work better but I'd don't like the idea of suction cupping 1200 dollars to the windshield haha.
Will send a text here after a bit. I have a couple questions on idle stuff I am kind of ignorant on.

Congrats on getting back up so quickly. That cam sounds great at idle. I played around with mine and landed right at 675 rpm where I thought it sounded best. That whine is so nice. My exhaust was too loud to ever really hear the whine haha.

Well I went down the rabbit hole of running a Gold Blade LS3 throttle body on my C5 as my new used silver blade gave me the dreaded REP limp mode of death last week.
So far the gold blade is working perfectly after reducing the throttle blade opening in HP Tuners.
Check out the intro lol. The rest of the video is trash.
