Chinesium valves and boost.....don’t do it!

So I decided to be the guinea pig on using check stainless knock off valves. Honestly I was just being cheap. I saw some “qualfast” stainless valves on eBay, I only used the intake valves and I put ferrea on the exhaust. They actually looked like they were ferrea knockoffs. Except little did I know, they must have used cheap metal. They tuliped on me. The intake side. I would think the exhaust would be more susceptible to that. Well I just wanted to warn you guys, stay away from these valves. I probably don’t have to tell 99.9% of you that because most of you aren’t cheapassess like me, but still. They might be ok in a na motor for a while but the face that contacts the valve seat, had a wear groove in it already. So anyways, stock or name brand for me for now on.

Huh, That’s odd. China isn’t known for having sub-par products.

I hope you didn’t hurt ur motor too bad

TFS heads have had issues with this in the past, using cheap valves for the big valves in their rectangle port heads that end up being crammed up inside of the port.

I’m sure you can see which one is shaped like a bowl. Yea it was cylinder 7 too. Of course, it sees more heat.

Stock intake valves seem to work just fine.

I was following along in your other thread. Sucks it happened but hopefully just a set of valves, bolts and gaskets and you're good to go!

I lived in China for a year. The hardest part of living there was to stop myself from saying "cheap Chinese ****". You have no idea how bad Chinese stuff is until you live there and it is everywhere. Cars, roads, building, everything. And when you say "cheap Chinese ****" the locals are very offended. But if you get them to be honest, they will agree. The engineers I worked with would not buy the Chinese built version of 'foreign' cars, Fords, Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Volvo, BMW. They wanted US or European built cars.
