Default Am I on track for 145-150mph?

Still Planning, I'm in on the huron GP. Went with a v3 t6 kit. I'm looking at running a SBE ls2 for now, until i can plan out a motor (or it lets go). Im going to get my fuel system together, radiator stood up, battery in trunk, and kit in and running at as low power as I can until I have the motor sorted. if its all in and running I can at least move the car around, plus ill be able to recoup money by selling injectors and exhaust and all that stuff.

Car has been 10.9 @ 129 @ roughly 500whp with the current set up, with a t56 that I'm planning on keeping. Currently a sbe ls1, btr4, tfs 220 heads (62cc), and a fast 102. Any chance I can reuse the heads on an ls2, with a thicker gasket?? maybe even the intake, at least for a bit?

what cam would you guys suggest?
what gears? car has 4.10s which I'm sure are useless.

I want to run an s480. Will this turbo be my best bet? was thinking about a VS next gen billet 80, since I can get one cheap. Maybe even if it's temporary until it's time to turn it up.

I'd love to make 800whp with room to grow.

Do you have access to E85? I'd run your current combo with an S480 with E85 before I changed anything at all.

I can't see any reason why you couldn't use those heads even though I'd love to buy them. I'd definitely go with less gear a buddy of mine has a huron kit and is M6 with 4.10s and he hates his gearing.

I figured 3.50 would be ideal.

Run what you plan to then (the SBE LS2). Compression is a touch high for pump gas depending on what CC those heads are (largest puts them at stock LS2 compression).
The cam is a little big for a turbo setup but if you're running decent compression ratio, you can make it work, especially with those heads.

I'd just run it. The 1.32 A/R 96mm wheel will almost be a requirement for that combo to work good, but it'll work.
It'll definitely make a ton of power.

the cam I’m not reusing. I’ll take whatever the best suggested cam is and run that. For now, I’ll get it running, but I don’t plan on it being a killer with the max effort n/a motor set up.

I also really want to run a holley mid or high intake, am I going to be seriously hurting power over an ls6? I like the fact that I can run stuff under the holley if need be.

I guess I'm the only one that favors using N/A cams in turbo setup lol

Run the intake based on intended rpm range. How the intake will act NA is how it will act in boost.

ok. I’d love to use a holley mid, but im
guessing it makes peak power way higher than my set up will. I’ll keep the fast until I source an ls6 or something...

No, the Holley mid rise intake it terrible. TERRIBLE.
Literally nobody should use it for a performance option.

Read this a lot. Everyone suggests the short or high.. and says the mid is a pile. Was there some back to back testing that showed this was a terribly designed intake?

if it works I'm down!

Ive ordered a forced inductions billet s480. battery is in the trunk, have the entire fuel system. chrs1313 pump, 210 boschs, etc. have the radiator, fans, and hoses.

i need a boost controller/solenoid, waste gates, and blow off valves. also whatever
vacuum stuff.

I think my best bet is to get it running with the turbo set up and go from there, without changing anything on the motor. I can always plan for a motor after the kit is on.
