Question Magnuson actuator modification ??

I was reading a few old posts on various forums about how the vacuum actuator hose fitting on the Magnuson has an orifice in it that when removed gives you instant boost. Apparently people have been using this for track use, etc. Now I also found out that there use to be a new ofrice fitting that could be installed that made it not as aggressive as with no orifice insert but alot more responsive...

I cannot find this fitting anywhere so I was wondering if it would be possible to drill the original brass orifice a little bigger perhaps? Has anyone did this?

This must not be very popular nowdays I'm thinking about using a precision drill press and drilling it out a little so it will be a little more agressive but not too crazy hmmm....

You got to figure the smaller orifice just slows the reaction of it opening and closing. Drilling it out just allows it to react quicker. The Magnuson cars I've been around reacted pretty damn quick. It's up to you.

Hmmm interesting, in all honesty I have never been in any other magnuson sc car and this is my first. I can't imagine how it must be without the orifice at all like some guys on other forums have said they have done :o

I saw some videos of this electronic boost bypass recently and they offer a Magnuson version, but are not very specific about models on their site. I haven't seen very much information on it besides a few youtube videos.

I don't have an orifice in mine and it drives fine on the street and drags, If you want a different size, use a nitrous one.

Interesting, I will get some of the nitrous ones and try or even try it without and see how I like it, well once I'm back on the road again (currently replacing bad harmonic balancer :/ )
