So I may have room with a very short line to mount the pump horizontally if that works. From there another very short line to where ever I want to go on the intake post intercooler.

What is the best thing for tapping the reservoir without removing it? I couldn't get to the inside of it if I wanted to anyway due to the long skinny filler neck. I'm liking this idea now. Same pressure switch and relay setup with the cheaper nozzles linked above and the windshield reservoir idea with a single nozzle pre iat seems much simpler and cheaper than my original plan.
it's your checkbook, far be it from me to knock you. There's other members who have to drop their k member to change their intake mani.....#streetcar. A step bit is what I used for mine. Use an NPT fitting with the nylon wrap and threaded it into the plastic so it was a tight fit.
ps....I'm just proud you're using the WWF tank 😆.

I pulled the motor over the winter due to a small oil leak between the pan and rear cover. While it was out I decided some things weren't going back in...LOL. Damn nose heavy GTO lost some weight all off the nose over the winter. At least pulling the motor on these from the top is super easy.

Devils own has these nice self sealing tank taps with a screen. You simply drill a hold an HAND tighten the nut. Doesn't need much force to seal and it will break if you over tighten it. (broke my first one hand tightening it w my gorilla hands) I had mine for many years and it never leaked.

Yes, they are the same as the Holley Sniper intakes (basically) which are also rated with the same RPM ranges. We have long and short runner versions. We've updated our system for the long runners to have a 4000-8000 range and the short runners to have a 4500-8500 range. We're going to change the printed catalog as well, but that is not an instant process and will take a few months. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

so jealous you were able to snag that WWF local. I've been scouring parts stores and they haven't been stock anything under +32F. I ended up buying 5 gallons fr Camping World online of all places.

The -20 stuff is easy to find all year since it's Iowa and most people never run their reservoir dry. My intake delivery date got moved back because it was held up at a Fedex location. I think I'll go ahead and change my fuel filter today since I can't do anything else. I've had to get in the habit of changing it regularly since it will plug even with 50% ethanol. Probably only need to change it a couple times a year, but I've started doing it every 3 months before I see any issues. I use Magnafuel's stainless filters and rotate 3 different ones. They clean up with brake cleaner.

Ya it sucks because washer fluid is regulated by either the DOT or EPA and it's completely regionally dependent on what you can buy. I can buy -40 Mototec washer fluid here all year long for $1.50/gal. It's about 40%-45% methanol. But I have literally never been able to find it anywhere online ever and the bottles say "Alaska only". What's available to buy literally changes by latitude on the map.

That wiring on the fuel pump looks on the small side to me, but pictures can be deceiving.

it's weird because it was only a year or so ago that I had no issues getting -20 in FL but they yanked them all from the shelves.

The wiring from the battery to the trunk is 4 gauge to a distribution block. Then I have dual 40 amp relays to I believe it's 12 gauge wire from relay to pump. Very short run of wire from relays to pump and I have pump grounded to multiple places.

Got this toggle switch wired in yesterday so I have the option to disable the water/meth during a burnout. Amazing how clean your interior looks then you take a picture and see all the dust...LOL

So while I'm waiting on parts...I came up with this. Does this look acceptable for a simple on/off?

I would suggest making the power source a switched key on source. That way you need both boost and the key on. Allows you to pressure test the cold piping without accidentally tripping the pump on. Just another failsafe.

I totally knew that when I removed my front sway bar it’s mount bolts would work perfectly with the mount supplied with the AEM pump. 😄

System was tested by putting 5 psi to trigger and pump runs. 👍

I was amazed how long it took the pump to prime even with only about a foot from the windshield reservoir to the pump. Very small seep from one side of the check valve otherwise good function and simple install. I think I'll go ahead and put some wiring loom over the hose in the engine bay as well as the wiring for the system.

Wiring I get. The meth line I like to keep exposed so I can see if it ever leaks or breaks. Did you get far enough to see the nozzle spray pattern?

Oh yes I like the spray pattern. I made sure I had a good spray, on off function, and leak check. The check valve seeps a bit I tightened it and tested again it's almost nothing, but I want to get it completely stopped. Probably should have ordered the snow brand sealant with their check valve. What is your preferred sealant for meth injection stuff?

I just use the Teflon plumbers tape, not the paste, and it hasn't failed me in 2 years on a DD and I've gone through gallons (literally) of WWF.

i would imagine it would handle meth, but not 100% on it. Permatex 80019 aviation sealant.
