416 D1SC Trans Am
I finally upgraded my engine so I could pulley down my D1SC and make more power on my 2000 Trans Am convertible street car. I bought the car new and have been “investing” in it for a very long time. I ended up going with a long block that was recommended by TSP as being able to handle 800 RWHP. Here are some of the specifics for the new stuff.
-TSP 416 resleeved aluminum gen 4 5.3L
-TSP/Mahle -10cc dish pistons
-PRC aftermarket LS3 heads
-232/248 .629/.615 116 LSA 114 ICL
-LS3 intake
-Nick Williams 92mm TB
-FIC 1000cc injectors
-Holley LS Hi-Flow Fuel Rails
-Chrs1313 dual 450 fuel pumps
-Racetonix fuel line kit
-Procharger new spring loaded tensioner
-Powerbond 3.4” pulley
-McLeod RXT 1200
Existing stuff
-Twin 4.5” Procharger intercoolers
-Proflow BV
-Strange 60 with 4.1 (truetrac)
-Built T56
-Wolf 6 point roll bar
-Alkycontrol meth injection
-Koni shocks, BMR, UMI, Spohn suspension components
The car made 693/688 on 92 Octane and Meth. I had 17” x 11” widened WS6 rims with 28” MT (305/45R45) on the car with 1.25” hub centric wheel spacers. HP peaked at about 5300 RPM so the tuner set the rev limiter at 6400 RPM because it was not making any more power. They have suggested that a FMIC and E85 will allow for more gains.
I had all the new stuff installed by Carbconn in Kirkland, WA. Happy holidays!

What about going with e85? My tuner was really encouraging the switch along with the FMIC.
