Default Anyone running E85 WITH a water-meth kit?

Anyone in here running E85 together with water-meth? I ask because I have a Magnuson TVS2300 on my LSX 388 and the TVS2300 is known for high heat soak and IATs. I already have an AEM water-meth kit that I got for cheap and was wondering if it would be ANY benefit together with E85? (Car was originally on 93 only btw, going dual 450s, 1500cc injectors, all new lines, etc. for E85 eventually)

Have you tried E100? I've dropped dwarf car head temps switching from 112 race gas to Pure Alcohol from 600F down to 325F (1300GSXR air cooled motor.. ) Getting rid of the gas component should buy some more change.. A switchable fuel tank might be the ticket.. 3 gallons of E100, then run 92 in the main tank on the street?

Most of the time if you can buy E85 on the street ,, the local fuel distributor can sell you a drum of E100..

Yes I run E85 and 50/50 water meth on at 4 psi. I love it.

Other than lowering IATs, you won't really see much benefit.
I've had IATs over 300 from moderate boost with no intercooler on E85 with no detonation issues. I don't even start pulling timing until 240.

This, worked my way up and like you said under 200* E85 doesn't seem to care, even E50 seems to work fine.

Just curious if either of you know what timing numbers you were/are at, with those higher IAT's?
I run E75 or better, (99% of the time), and I know I worry, needlessly, when my IAT's peak at 165* or so, LOL.
Again, just curious.

Absolutely, with a PD blower you will usually see a .5 to a full psi gain with a meth kit due to it "sealing" up the rotor pack better and while you don't need it for timing or cooling on E85 it certainly helps with how oxygen rich methanol is. On most PD blower setups I usually see a 20-30 rwhp gain just by adding meth with no other changes even when running E85.

I wouldn't even worry about 165 on pump gas, know how many LSA guys see that every day? So many guys run heat soaked setups in traffic with a tiny reservoir that basically does nothing then floor it on every on ramp they can.

It certainly depends on the setup, but for me with a 94mm and 200-220* IAT I was at 15*, pretty much the same with twin 78's.
