Condensation. Need advice It has been awhile from my last build. I'm getting condensation leaking between the exhaust flange and my turbo. I have a crush gasket there. It's on e85 and really haven't had it fun long enough to see if it's still leaking. Thought about getting some copper gasket rtv. Just thought I would ask advice from more experienced people. Thanks
The joint in question is before my wideband. Im running Holley system and everything seems to be working fine with afr. Car idles smooth but is really load. Has bumper exit. And info would be appreciated. Thanks
What kind of crush gasket and what style of gasket is it? I’m a big fan on remflex gaskets as I feel they are the best especially for turbo applications. They recently added vband gaskets so I snagged a bunch and they work great.
Copper rtv won’t stand a chance to pre turbo temps or anything close to the turbo exit. Gotta be graphite or stainless/steel/copper. I get a bunch of condensation out the tail pipe on my turbo car and I would assume out the cutout if I had it open before it was warmed up. You don’t want any leaks pre turbo and pre 02 so verify it doesn’t leak.

Condensation in exhaust- normal , leaking out the flange just means you have a small leak . Probably warped a bit from welding mine did , a file and straight edge should be able to flatten it easily and problem solved

I had that stainless gasket. My flanges were flat. It didn’t leak bad, but it leaked.
I bought some copper gaskets from Columbia mandrel. They are about 1/8” thick. And hard. So I annealed them on my electric stove. That softened them up nicely.
