Turbo sizing recommendations?
4000 lb car, 4speed auto, 4000 stall, 440ci sleeved aluminum block 10:1 comp, tfs 245 heads, custom cam, lsxr 102 intake, NW102. Steet/strip car. Will be running twins with v-band in/out turbine housings. I've been told 6466bb gen2 PTE turbos with thier 1.05ss turbine housings would be a good choice. Just wondering if these sound kinda small with 440ci? Thanks for any help guys!

They would be small on the hot side, but very responsive, that 1.05 v band turbine housing is more equivalent to a t3 based size 2" inlet v band. On autos they will tap out at 1200 or sooner with larger ci engines. I'd probably run a garrett or garrett clone if you wanted better bang for the buck. Something in the G35-G40 range. What are the power goals?
If you want to stick with PTE and want 1000 hp or so just use a gen 1 6266 with the same turbine housing as above. I honestly don't see the bottleneck being the compressor side in your case with 440ci.

Biggest problem is I already have the pipework setup for the "t3" size turbine housing. So I think as far as turbine housing I'm kinda stuck with that. I know there are bigger a/r's now then there used to be as in the 1.05 stainless. I think I'm just stuck with that and the biggest wheel I can get it in.

going back to aluminum block. Also replacing k member and suspension on all 4 corners. Trying to lighten car up a bit. So since I'm building new engine went with more cubes. T3 exhaust housing to small, I found out I can just change flange on up-pipe and go with t4 v-band housing. More then likely going twin 6870 pte gen2 turbos.
