in need of cranking fuel values for 6.2 with a whipple on e85

Default in need of cranking fuel values for 6.2 with a whipple on e85

like the tittle says need cranking fuel values for 6.2 with a big whipple on e85. I am running a holley hp ecu. once I get the car fired up it is great. starting is the problem. any help is appreciated.

Umm, that's pretty specific to your combo and you can't just plug somebody else's values in there and expect it to be correct.

As well as the camshaft, and injectors are also going to play a big part as well.

Geezus guys, just shoot him a number. He can work form there. Make sure you don’t have any fuel modifiers throwing extra fuel at it for now (coolant enrichment, air temp enrichment, etc). For cranking fuel plug in between 9.5 and 10 lb/hr. Try it and see what happens. If you need to open the throttle to get it to start, lower those same numbers. As far as coolant temp enrichment, see how it starts hot/cold and adjust accordingly. It’ll be a back and forth thing because the modifiers reference off your cranking fuel values (if that makes any sense). Good luck

I am just looking to see where others are at. I am getting a pop out the exhaust sometimes before it fires. I am assuming it is a little rich. once it fires, it drives great. I backed mine down a little on the cranking fuel and it banged the blower. do NOT want to do that again.

I have around 15.5 lbs in it on a operating temp(coolant temp) restart and around 23 lbs on a 60-80 degree initial start up. this is on e85. I think I have too much in it. it usually spits through the exhaust a couple of times on a restart. I just don't want it so lean lean that it pops the blower.

I’m on E85 also but I run a 5.3 so add 15% to that number (9). Put it at 10.3lb/hr and try it.

To many variables....is injector data correct? what size injectors? whats base fuel pressure? is your VE table dialed in perfect? are you running flex fuel sensor and using modifiers? If you want to plug in random numbers from another tune ( I dont recommend) here is the cranking fuel from one of my cars on E85 with a blower. There is no majic number for cranking fuel, all the things I listed effect it plus engine size, cam size...etc
