Default Which mufflers....

I have a 2013 A&A supercharged Corvette with a cam, long tube headers, x pipe (no cats) into tiny Flowmaster 10's (the tiny bastards) and want a better sound.

Cannot help with your question. Just impressed that you asked "which" and not "what" mufflers.

You'd probably be fine with a complete rear section with mufflers from Borla, Corsa or Magnaflow.

Are you looking for an exhaust system or a muffler?

Vibrant mufflers/resonators do a fantastic job of removing rasp.

The supercharger normally adds a lot of volume to the sound, but whatever sound you like, is up to you. A old-school say Flow master single chamber full size muffler vs say a Corsa, completely different sounds.
Seems to me most Corvettes end up with Corsa. I'm more of a Borla guy if we are talking about actual mufflers.

Default Mufflers...

I have spent a lot of $ on American Racing long tube headers and their X-pipe... I brought all 4 exhaust tips closer like a C7 and I don't want to lose that... am willing to get "zoomies" or electronic cut outs, but would rather get some nice mufflers. Please advise as I don't want to cut too much into the AR system.



I don't want the AR all cut up with resonators, just better sounding mufflers.

I don't want the AR all cut up with resonators, just better sounding mufflers.
Any particular reason you're against adding resonators? Because removing the current flange in place and adding this would still make a clean install while reducing the drone significantly.

Vibrant sells a variety of muffler and resontors, which means you can tune the sound to your liking (to an extent)

This is one of the better videos I've found on the internets showcasing what Vibrant can do, but keep in mind this is "ultra quiet" meaning they've really kept the noise down

quiet it down just a bit. I don't care about drone or rasp I guess I just want a deeper sound if that makes sense 🤔

I’d leave what you have an add a cutout or 2. Prob about the same cost and will allow you to be quiet when you want. I run duel 3” dumps off each manifold. Then “y” into some crush bent 2.25” garbage to a 4cyl mustang axle back muffler kit. Its OEM quiet… or obnoxious depending on my mood.

If you read around there was a huge muffler test a few years back. The best for backpressure VS sound (no drone deep sound less decibels) was the hooker max flow. But if you just want to be loud and have performance straight pipes or any straight thru big muffler will do that.

thank you for your advice, I appreciate it, I think I'm going to get borla mufflers and cut outs.... best of both worlds 🌎

For a quieter deeper sound I would strongly suggest a borla pro xs muffler. They come in a similar sized package, maybe a couple inches longer and will do what you ask.

If you haven't hacked the X pipe up too bad, a set of stock bi-mode NPP, Z06, or ZR1 mufflers will bolt right on. Loud when you want 'em loud and church mouse quiet when you're not in the mood. I'm running a set of Z06 mufflers on my heads/cam 2013 C6 just plumbed to manifold vacuum. Quiet at cruise or light throttle and wake the dead loud when you punch it.

I ran a set of those flowmasters on a supercharged truck for a while. I don't mind a little loud, but these were loud AND obnoxious. Plus, they are restrictive. I measured 4psi of back pressure between the X and the mufflers. I got rid of those in favor of some Magnaflows with resonators behind them (lots of room under a Chevy half ton). Sounded good at idle, quiet at cruise, and loud at WOT.
