First time LS turbo build, been wanting to learn how to tune a boosted LS for a few years.. I have had some fast turbo imports, but always wanted to do a turbo v8.. So I started collecting used ls engines for a while, and was debating on what I was going to swap one into. have a clean s14 but have a built 2jz for that, was debating throwing an ls into the g35 coupe, but then I came across a very clean 94 chevy blazer 4wd roller that was owned by a friend of mine since 02 for a great deal, so I snatched it up!

The engine that went in initially was a spur of the moment decision.. After aquiring the truck a friend of mine offered me a complete Geniv 5.3/4l60e from an 08 1500 that was a no start for the past year.. truck only had 96k and always ran amsoil.. Bartered some welding and sexual flavors for the drivetrain and had that truck stripped down on a Saturday afternoon..




I decided right before I got the drivetrain to go with a terminator xmax and I intuitively got one for a geniv dbw with trans control figuring if need be I could always convert wiring to gen3 and itd be nice to have the longer harness.. Ordered up a set of SEC1500 injectors, and some piping to start building a turbo kit.. Once I got the motor swapped in and wired up I then started planning for the turbo build.. Had a few t4 turbos laying around but then came across a s475/t6 and decided to use that for this one..


I then went on to figure out what issues the roller had, and get the stance right on the truck.. I've built lifted trucks, and really wanted a slammed obs, so that's the direction we headed in..










I found the original quarter glass seals in the truck had given up years prior and left me a rusty surprise in the floor, so I had the glass replaced and resealed.. Will be doing a fuel cell anyway, so will address the floor issue at that point..






Yes thats the homie @forgedrick lb7 swapped squarebody we just spent the better part of 2 years redoing, pretty sure you could not find a single bolt under that truck that is not arp at this point..

Swapped on some new rollers, got rid of that Gmc front end, eventually will go to the 454ss grill, but the 94+ will do for now..







Brought the truck home from my shop so it was no longer a distraction to the guys at work and started building the turbo kit..

Cleaned up the wiring and mounted the ecu in the glove.. redid carpet and whatnot.. relocated battery to the rear..















ol' matt sloppy boi put his shroom stamp on the termi, stock unopened 5.3, tr6 plugs gapped to .027 some of that oil stuff and coolant, sec 1500cc injectors with the s475/t6 and 4l60e laid down 630whp on 60% ethanol at 17psi..

 

Then there was more!

 

So I broke some ****, hydrolocked the 5.3.. had a small fuel leak I noticed when stopped at a buddys shop.. took apart the AN feed line and fixed the leaky joint due to a crooked cut.. apparently I didnt clean the feed line out well enough and injectors don't like debri! Needless to say got one or two stuck open and wallah.. one hydrolocked 5.3 and a broken flywheel tooth jammed in the starter..

 

I love the OBS blazer. And you nailed the stance.
