I plan to do it this Sunday when im off of work, the rest of my parts should be in by then as well. The new turbo is here, the 45's & 90's are here and I had to get a 3" to 3" 90 degree boost coupling which is here. I'm only waiting on the straight piece of piping and the o2 sensor bung

One other thing to note, is that with the new turbo, you’ll surely make more power, and that should loosen up the converter some.

That will change how it spools on the launch, and how much rpm it drops on each shift.

As others have mentioned, get the new turbo installed and have your tuner get things squared away, and try building boost on the brake again…

Don't change too many things at once, as you won’t know what change did what..

100 percent, ill definitely get everything dialed in with the tuner and there's a few back roads we can take it on and give it a try and after we get it re tuned with the new turbo I'll take it to the track and play around with the boost controller again I'm sure and the 2 step and see what gets me the best results on the track. The launch was the only thing I was really struggling with but I definitely understand what I need to do now to get it right.

So I got the timing wire hooked up and I got it set at 8 degrees and it's getting 5 psi on the 2 step. At first I set it to 5 degrees and it pulled 3 psi and I bumped it up to 8 and got the 5 psi. Looks like the lnc2000 did its job. I could of went up and kept getting more but I wasn't sure how many psi I wanted to pull off the line. Figured I'd wait until I put the new turbo and see what it needs to not lag and pull off the line without spinning too bad.

You're welcome. 😆 It might go 10s as it sits leaving in boost if you can hook up and play with shift rpm.

Think you're gonna get your 10 now , just going to have to find the sweet spot between power and traction. The intake isn't going be an issue if you can add boost at will. Keep us posted

A little update, haven't put the new turbo on yet because my 4l65 is biting the dust. I was on my way to the tuners house to switch it out and the transmission starting slipping pretty bad and throwing a po757 code. Long story short I'm not going to bother trouble shooting this transmission and I expected this to happen. I'm going to get a 4l80 and I've already pretty much found everything I need. The conversion harness and the cross member and a local shop that can change the yoke. Now I'm looking on circle d's website trying to decide on a torque convertor. Do you guys have any suggestions? Also should I go with a triple disk or is that not needed? Now I see another option here to really help that 60 foot out if I can get a convertor that let's me stall a little higher. I see they have 245mm, 258mm, 300mm, 265mm so im a little confused which one I should get and how high of a stall ?

Call Circle D and talk to them. They will recommend a converter for your combination and for how you use your vehicle.

Will do, I figured I'd ask because stall was mentioned in some previous post. I was looking at getting at 60 built but I'm haven't alot of people try and talk me out of it and telling me put a 80 in it.

I'm happy with the summit Racing ProLS 4L80e converter. I kept it mild with the 2800-3000 stall.

Does it truly spool to 3000 or are you holding it from spinning tires at that point?

I've been running the Circle D Pro Series 245mm converter in my TH400 turbo car for a few years now.
They've been great to work with and I've been very happy with the converter's performance.
Even though I'm over the converters recommended HP range my slip is still decent in the 8-9% range at WOT.
I think the triple disk units are for guys who want to lock up the converter at WOT which I've good and bad things about doing that.
Just give the folks over there a call and they'll help you out.
PTC is another amazing converter, but I've tried contacting them a few times and they've never responded which makes me think if I ever had an issue then I'd be on my own with them.

ptc is actually what I have in the truck now, its a 3800 but i definitely dont think i could really stall it that high. I'd blow the tires off. I called circle d and they told me to go with a 245mm 3600-3800 triple disk. He sounded pretty confident in me going that route. I guess I should of asked why I need the triple disk when I had him on the phone but I failed to do that.

Triple adds to the price, you should be able to lock it at WOT but I defer to CD if they reccomend that at that power level.

I know for my 475rwhp 2010 Camaro we have it looking at the top of 3rd gear and it's worth a couple mph.

I've heard a couple times that when you get into higher hp deals with the lockup, it can be hard on parts and high HP is subjective depending on who you ask.
Don't know how true that is since most everyone I know runs PG/400 stuff.
If that's what they recommend, that's what I'd do.
Circle D told me that converter is rated to 800+ hp but they have quite a few people running it beyond that including me so for the price its not a bad deal.

I've got a buddy in Montana that has a fresh built 4L80 for sale that would be perfect for you.
Not a crazy expensive build, he was targeting 800-900hp with his supercharged truck but changed direction on the build.
