from my understanding that's not the case with the van ecu, I read tons of stuff on this and it said the van p59 ecu was 3 bar and flex fuel capable with the right OS

this isnt rocket surgery. a zillion people have done this and posted the info.
all the hardware numbers of p59s with iac drivers is here: https://web.archive.org/web/20210622...m/gm-iac-pcms/
you dont even have to open up the ecu to check.
p59s have two bar and three bar OS. with hptuners you have to pay for more credits to do the conversion. maybe thats the hold up?
ive had great luck with the p01 3 bar ecus on multiple boosted vehicles, just never used flex. e85 isnt available around me.

at this point id suggest finding a remote tuner that knows what is going on, or get a holley and have andrew help you out. youre going to spend more money in wasted time and broken **** than just doing it correctly now.

not rocket science to you but to me it is because I don't know anything about tuning. I'll send him this as well and see if he can figure it out. If not then I'll just let him tune it with 2 bar and then I'll take it home and install holley myself when i convince myself to spend the money. He recommended buying the ecu so thats why i went that route so ill atleast give him a chance to try and figure it out.

I understand that, I don't think he's to familiar with changing os though. From what I seen when I was over there most of the vehicles were on holley so maybe he's more comfortable with using that. He had my truck running well and the afr were spot on with the 2 bar but he wanted to go 3 bar

so he actually reached out to someone else who's more familiar with the p59 ecu and he's setting up the os and then my guy will do the tune itself on the dyno

So got the ecu installed and now no idle control or tps signal. Does something need to be re pinned for those two to work?

p01 and p59 are interchangeable. there is one pin related to alternator that some people have needed to move but when i converted my 02 truck to p59 there wasnt anything in that spot so i didnt do anything to the harness and it all 'just worked'

I wonder what I need to do then, it's not picking those 2 signals up. my tps signal is stock and my iac sensors is not but it's just the small sensors that's in the intake piping as well got rid of the maf sensor and just kept the iac but it worked fine with my 411 ecu.

iac is idle air control, it is the 4 pin connector on the throttle body.
iat is inlet air temp. normally its built into the maf so if you just unplugged the maf and didnt break out the iat wire and add a sensor, thats why its not reading anything

yes I know which sensor it is, I'm asking why would I have to re pin it? Shouldn't it be in the same place with the p59 ecu. My truck doesn't have a maf anymore, we did away with the maf, and just wired in a 2 wire iac sensor but it worked fine with the 411 ecu. It's not a problem with the sensor or the sensor wiring and it's hooked up and so is the tps and they worked fine with the old ecu.

IAC is not IAT

IAC is the valve that controls your idle. it has four wires

IAT is a temp sensor with two wires

the ecu pinouts are the same, something else is wrong. if youre having IAC problems, you might have a dbw os in the ecu.

I bit the bullet an ordered holley terminator x max and current performance integrated harness. I'm not going to keep messing around with this factory ecu and harness bs

Sorry to hear it !! Man, you are hitting every bump in the road! But keeping at it , I'd hate to see your total expenses on this project. I'm sure you will let us know how it goes with the holley

it's all good, I'll sell the p59 and psh i wouldnt even want to add them up. It will be worth it in the end and for the record I have a pretty decent job so it's OK. Still middle class well enough I can afford it so it's OK. The p59 just wasn't worth the struggles and he's way more comfortable with holley and actually was almost to the point of giving me the truck back and I wasn't willing to go that route. I've invested to much time and money to just give up now.

The holley is well worth the money. I think it's one of the best places I spent money on my car.

that's what the tuner told me, he said it will be much easier to manage and deal with and I won't regret it and I have a buddy who built a truck as well and he immediately put holley on it before it ever seem the road.

Holley came in today, that was fast! Just waiting on the integration harness and I also ordered the bracket that allows me to put the screen in the air bag spot next to the air conditioning controls do I'm waiting on that as well.
